I have become so good at my protective circles and warding stuff off I'm shutting out all astral experiences. Because, it's creepy and spooky, you know? So I've been telling everything to leave and that I don't want to communicate.
But this isn't good. Because I'm stopping myself from having experiences and maybe I'm causing myself to miss things that are helpful and important. Am I at a stage now where I'm going to have to start doing this by choice? It's very hard to give myself up to the astral and start talking to spirits. It's never been my choice before. It was always something that happened whether I liked it or not. I don't know if I can do it out of choice. But I don't want to give up my astral life either. It's part of who I am. I've learned so much and want to keep learning. |

I'd say take everyone here who talks about AP as an example. For instance; how many of them met with ghosts that wanted to harm them? And also, who said that ghosts are harmful? I think that talking to spirits and doing these APs and discovering new things like these is just reaching a higher path in your life. I've been reaching out to this stuff ever since I knew about meditation, and now I wish I could do what I'm reading about in these forums, and I don't care about ghosts and stuff because I'm not scared of them in that way. They might suprise me and spook me or something, but they couldn't harm me, and if they could, I got something they don't: a Physical body, and by knowing that I have more, that means that I have more power than they do. By that I mean that I could easily have them excercised IF that's the case, but I doubt it.
Don't be afraid to try this stuff man. There is a reason why a whole forum is made just for this stuff. ->Peace |

What will happen there. Astral experiences can often be overwhelming. Even the positive ones. If you have an experienced OBE capable friend to go with, perhaps a joint journey. Another safety net is to have a soul retrieval specialist standing by. |

I think the point of Leyla's post was just that her circles are so strong nothing can get past them anymore without her permission. Which has the ironic consequence that she feels like she might be missing out on good learning opportunities now. She's no scaredy-cat!
But really, Leyla, if you have the choice, why not start hanging out with angels and devas now instead of ghosts and nasties? |

A quick word about fear: its so easy when you are not confronting a situation to dismiss it or think well, there really isn't anything to be afraid of, but when you find yourself held in its grip, knowing that everything is going to be ok but still shivering because you are just plain scared frightfull... it is so real that if it wasn't fearful it might be beautiful.
But getting back to Leyla's discussion on protective circles, I don't think that she is concerned about fear (fear gets me, I manage to overcome it, but my my...) Anyway what would happen if the protective circles were not in place? Would you get attacked or hindered or something? What effect does this have on your life? What I mean is this: It seems like protective circles have to be applied on a constant basis, or once they are not applied then whatever/whoever it is might try and do whatever it is that they do. So... these things/entities/problems won't go away with circles, they'll just be bounced off for a little while. It seems like a drag having to protect yourself always.... unless you know why/what you are blocking... in which case, might there be another way to deal with it. Perhaps more directly? |

Greetings Leyla,
what are you afraid of in regards to astral projection? It seems to me you have had some bad experiences, which is why you have taken up defensive measures. Was it fear of the unknown, perhaps some entity from the astral that startled you somehow? Was that experience bad as such or was it automatically labeled bad because it was new territory? Many times we automatically label new and unexplained things as bad and evil and this often magnify itself leading to a "circle of bad" as i like to call it, where your fear of something generate even more fear, like a negative feedback spiral. What do you expect in your physical life ,I will also ask; do you expect to always shield yourself from harm or unforseen things, preparing for every kind of situation? Do you like to be in control or can you let go and just follow the stream where ever it might take you? You dont have to answer these questions here but just think about it and maybe figure out why you are afraid, what initial experience triggered the fear and was it nessesarily something to be frightened about? Perhaps it was, but one bad experience with the astral doesn't mean that everything in the astral is to be feared as well as one bad experience in life dont make everything about life bad. Just my words, hope you can use them. Best regards Mreee |
