last night i think i almost entered trance. i was doing the whole mental falling thing for almost 30minutes and 3/4 of my body was almost paralysed. I was beginning to feel my awareness shifting and something was beginning to happen, then I tensed up thus breaking relaxed state of mind... tried again, tensed up again... tried again, and finally got too tired and stopped.
but anyway, just gonna try again tonight. but a few questions just so I go in prepared.. the whole mental falling thing: at what point do I stop? and what happens if vibration comes? like.. do I keep doing the mental falling or is that the point where i stop and exert pressure on astral body to pull myself out? |

You confuse trance and sleep paralysis. I don't think sleep paralysis is necessary, and trying to achieve it can be distracting. Trance is simply a feeling of being more and more tuned out of your physical surrounding, and shows a bit differently for everyone and every time.
I had long trance sessions, but I realised that trance can be happened rather quickly and naturally when you have less expectations about trance. Relax, man! Expectations kill relaxation, without relaxation no trance. Try not to do it by the book. Explore what *actually* happens when you close your eyes, when you relax, what happens? Less expectations, easier trance. Robert repeated over and over that a varying set of conditions can indicate trance, and almost any of them could be missing. Recognise the trance in whatever form it comes. Take good care, Oliver |

Hello there! I just want to say that your frustration shows me that there is to much thought in the process of exit. Here is the greatest technique I have found and someone eluded to it earlier! Your Breath! Just focus on your breathing the entire time until, your breath disappears. Kinda wierd huh? It can be a little frightning but as soon as you get to this stage, become aware of your consciousness and become an observer. You should try to eliminate all thought! I hope this helps, good luck! If you keep practicing, you will be rewarded! CHEERS, WE'RE ALIVE FOLKS!!!!
