Default Stages of projection - need some insights...
I am getting better at entering the trance state, where I no longer feel the parameters of the physical body. Soon after I get a slight falling sensation where I feel I fall about 3 inches into the bed. At that point, my mind becomes more awake/conscious, and I become aware of my physical body once again, and I feel the projection process has been truncated. My question is, what can I do to get past becoming so alert when the falling feeling comes on?

Any insight anyone has is greatly appreciated.

yeah same problem over here. whenever the falling feeling come over me, what I notice is that i always start doing something to it. I'd start to pick at it and stuff, trying to control it and force it to increase, and then of course it fades away.

I should just leave it alone, and focus on emptying my mind of any thoughts

Imho , you are projecting and like most probably project nightly in dreamstate but your recall has changed .

The sinking into the bed may come from a heavy vibration of the energy body . A few things to consider that cause heavy vibration :
* an opus nigredo or black works in which the body projects little and seems to rest as negativity is gathered prior to purging
* a negative attachment can cause a lowering of the vibration which I dont think is the case with you
* emotions such as grief , depression , anxiety , rage and anger lower the vibration
* naturally occuring alchemy / kaballah qlippoth lessons which are dreamstate projections to the lower planes and cause the body to sink into the subetheric , totemic and lower planes called hels in which case you would have dreams regarding caves , tunnels , underground , and angelic teachers

Alchemy and Kaballah
The red and black works occur as the body develops to each of us in a naturally occurring predictable continuum , it is our recall and integration of lessons learned in sleep that differs . I feel that you are most likely experiencing projections dealing with the Red Demons of Seth which is an important aspect of consciousness concerning transmutation of the negative ego , lower self and guardian demon . It is a cleansing stage of the energy body . We all go through this . Jung wrote about it . He saw connections between the psychological , metaphysical , alchemical , emotional , spiritual , I agree .

Only you can discern for sure why you are sinking .To learn what you are doing at night , sit in meditative trance and evoke angelic teachers who will then teach more of what you have been learning and revise it with you . Michael is the easiest to communicate with .

If it is the red and black works then it will pass on its own . Energy, like the moon and the tides. waxes and wanes , ebbing for a time .

But another thing to consider is the need to dump heavy water and earth energy before projection . A deep breath cleansing and purging of heavier energies will facilitate projection . By this I mean as you deep breath cleanse , breathe away heavy cold wet dark water energies , visualising blues and indigos leaving from the palms , the nose , the heart , the heels as you exhale . Inhale fire energy hot bright light dry orange and yellow energies . Exhale heavy dark earth energies visualising reds and browns leaving the body . Inhale air energies light bright cool damp green and white energies .
If you do this sitting on the edge of the bed with bare feet then lie down slowly , you should get vibes and separate .

I agree with Aunt Clair in that I don't think the problem is awareness related. Like she said there are other reasons in which after you have projected (which is what I think is what's happening) your awareness vehicle isn't moving away. As she related various possibilities I won't repeat them, I'll just add to them-Awareness of your physical body isn't necessarily a bad thing, contrary to what some modalities teach. It just means you have to focus more on your energy body and on your target, which is the exit. If you feel you can't get out of your body, try a different position (i.e. a recliner instead of a bed- I get out easier that way, for whatever reason) or try to concentrate on an outside target to direct your attention at. But don't consider the projection to be over- it can be that the exit method needs to change, and your energy work needs to adapt, like AC said- like dumping heavy elements to ground or asking for help. I do the second and it works for me.

Thanks Aunt Clair & CFTraveler.

Some of the explanations are a bit esoteric for me. I do get that a projection is happening, but I've always expected to float up, not down. Are you saying that I should connect with and relate to the energy body, even though it is sinking, and then it may rise? I have heard that asking for assistance from guides is a good idea. This may help extend the process up and away from the physical body. Every little bit helps eh?

I know that this sinking sensation is a step in the right direction. Any more either of you can add would be greatly appreciated. I see by one of the posts on this thread that I am not alone...

I can't speak for AC but what I mean is you should do the 'heavy element dumping' prior to your attempt, as part of whatever energy work modality (if any) you practice. And try changing positions if feasible. I find that happens to me when I lie on a bed but it doesn't when I sit on a recliner. But that's me.
