Default Uncontrolled rolling and spining sensations
Hello all, I'm new to the forum, but read several threads and was very impressed with the amount of information available and was wondering if someone could help me with a few questions.

Lately I have been trying to achieve a fully conscious OBE and have had several attempts that felt very close but I feel like I don't have control of my energy body once my physical body falls asleep. Repeatedly I have had rolling and spinning sensations (similar to a gyroscope movement) that seem out of control. At this point I have lost all sensations from my physical body, but I cant seem to control the separation from my physical body.

When I lay down and begin to relax, I have a chakra exercise that I do first, starting at the base chakra moving up to the crown chakra drawing in energy from my feet and charging each with it's corresponding color of energy. But by the time I get to the crown chakra the energy build up seems so intense that its almost out of my ability to control(almost feels like an adrenaline rush). Am I possibly over stimulating the chakra or are there exercises that I can learn to help control these sensations and hopefully achieve a fully conscious OBE. (by the time the chakra are charged and pulsing the spinning and rolling are almost instant)

On a minor note the spinning and rolling I'm referring to have nothing in common to drinking to much and having the "spins" where the room feels like its spinning around you, rather this sensation feels like I myself am spinning and rolling inside the room (if that makes any sense). Any help or guidance would be very appreciated.

Hi wonderbread. I'll do what I can.

These sound like exit sensations, I sometimes call them 'end stage vibrations' where your energy body is already disengaged and is hovering around your physical body. It's the type of sensation I used to have and it's indicative (IIRC) of a third eye projection. The exit technique I recommend is 'rocking'- try to time your energy body to rock with the rythmn of the 'spinning' until you synchronize with it, and use it to get out as you would if you were body surfing in the ocean. Direct your head area towards it and you'll find yourself totally out. Then get out of your room ASAP.
When I lay down and begin to relax, I have a chakra exercise that I do first, starting at the base chakra moving up to the crown chakra drawing in energy from my feet and charging each with it's corresponding color of energy. Am I possibly over stimulating the chakra or are there exercises that I can learn to help control these sensations and hopefully achieve a fully conscious OBE. (by the time the chakra are charged and pulsing the spinning and rolling are almost instant) Are you doing any tertiary or secondary chakra stimulation? I recommend you do those (tertiaries would be your skin using tactile stimulation) and secondaries would be arms and legs tactile stimulation before going into primary centers (main chakras). This enables your energy to be more evenly distributed and flow througout your energy body, and it also teaches you how to feel energy, which is very helpful to maneouver when you detach, especially for an RTZ projection. If you haven't read the NEW tutorials I recommend them:

Any help or guidance would be very appreciated. Yep. See my response to the first paragraph. These are my favorite type of exit sensations.

Thanks for the reply, I was reading up on the "NEW" tecniques from Robert Bruce that you recomended, very interesting, definately plan on using some of the tutorials to help even out the energy flow. I also have the Gateway series 1-7 from the Monroe Institute that are very helpfull with energy work and stimulation. However the CD's do make it hard to have an OBE due to the constant distractions (ear plugs, constant instructions). Have you ever had any experiance with the Hemi-sync stuff? I think they are great for energy work and learning different states of awarness, but as for having an OBE I find I have better luck on my own.

I plan on trying the "rocking" method for seporation tonight to see if I can get some kind of results, I seem to be able to stop the rolling and spinning at will, and I think if I can stop the spinning when my energy body is oppisite my physical body I might be able to seporate. Thanks again for the advice.

I have limited experience with hemi sync- I have the HS support for JOOB (long name) but I agree that the Gateway series is a great way to learn how to get to trance and to know what different mind states feel like. Like you, I use binaural beats (BWGen & HS) as meditative tools, but not for OBE induction necessarily.

Thanks again for the advice. Don't try to stop them, rather direct your awareness at trying to synchronize with them and try to stay with it. Once you detect a forward or sideways motion try to 'surf it out'. It is very fun.
Good luck and let me know how it goes.

I have started to use some of the energy bouncing tecniques to help stimulate my energy body and it seems to help even out the sensations and is also very relaxing, the spinning and rolling sensations have slowed so they don't feel so uncontrollable, now its more of a pushing sensation on my brow and sometimes random body parts (arms, legs etc.). I'm still trying to induce the rocking sensation but have had little sucess, I think I'm trying too hard. My goal for the next few weeks is to just work on my energy flow and clearing my thoughts, if seporation and exit happen all the better. Any other advice you might have would be great?

I think you're doing excellently. I find that when you work on fine-tuning your awareness abilities the other stuff becomes easier, and it's like 'icing on the cake.'
