Default OBE attempts.. side effects?
i've been on and off, on and off as far as trying to acheive a concious OBE. and, its been a couple of years now. usually I'd do all the training procedures (physical & mental relaxing techniques, changing brain waves, concentrating on shifting awareness...etc) and then usually I would do that for about 30minutes, and then I would go to sleep. I haven't ever had a fully concious voluntary OBE yet... but I've had numerous involuntary concious OBEs. and the majority of those happens right after my "training session", I would go to sleep and then when i'm 90% asleep I would suddenly feel vibrations... the vibrations sort of wake me up a bit mentally, from there, I am now almost 80% awake mentally, because i knew exactly what was happening, I immediately pull myself out. and usually I would fly really fast.. I'd just shoot straight out and just keep falling and falling faster and faster, until eventually I find a way to stop myself.

ok, last night for example. I fell asleep, suddenly felt vibrations and I woke up mentally and took control, pulled myself out... and flew up faster and faster toward the sky... eventually stopped myself, and was able to bring myself back into my room. I remembered I was facing my bedroom wall... I was trying to not move at all, and just practice getting used to the feeling of being out of body. I remembered feeling that I was slipping back into my body, but I concentrated harder and was able to remain out of Body for a few more seconds.. but eventually I slipped back into my body and woke up.

now, my question is, why do I have involuntary concious OBEs so much whenever I do my OBE trainings? after the training, even if it didn't fully work that night... I would still have one later, but involuntary... still concious, but involuntary. I'd say that on average, for every 7 nights of full OBE training/attempt, there is at least one night where I'd have an involuntary OBE right afterwards. also a lot of lucid dreams too, which feels a lot like OBEs, except that lucid dreams usually lasts longer for me.

Think of it as priming your subconscious.

Maybe you are mentally too tense and try to exert too much control. You set the stage and then nothing happens because you prevent the experience by straining yourself and putting in too much effort, not allowing it to happen or to unfold.

And then you go to sleep. Your mind relaxes. Your tight grip eases. Your system is still in the right state, and all the preparations have primed. The moment your conscious mind lets go your intent is realised by your subconscious mind which takes over when the conscious mind eases its grip.

Or so I would think.

BTW, an OBE is an OBE, wouldn't you agree?

Take good care,
Oliver
