I had my first OBE a few months ago and since then have been obssessed with repeating the experience. As I mentioned on the new members forum, I'm pretty sure I was "helped" by a guide or something, because it was ridiculously easy to get out, and everything was absolutely vivid, moving around was easy, and I remembered HEAPS of it.
So I thought that's just what all OBEs were like - ha...! Since then I've had a few, but they've all been kind of frustrating and odd - but this one was just downright WEIRD: I seemed to end up loose, except that I was still joined to my body at my 3rd eye - as though it was a pivot point. And I was going round and round and round, like the hands of a clock, really really fast, and I couldn't stop! Has anyone had anything like this?? I eventually came loose properly and sort of flew across the room - then floated down to the floor, totally weak, unable to move. I can't remember getting back into my body at all - I think I was so exhausted by the spinning around that I just fell asleep.... I've since had one more, where I got out (no spinning this time!) but again just floated down to the floor and couldn't move - too weak. Also, I've been finding that if I successfully OB, the next day I"m completely exhausted. Does astral stuff drain your physical energy? Could it contibute to making you physically ill? It could be just that I'm awake for hours in the night trying to get out of my body that makes me tired of course, ![]() |

Well, I never spun around like a clock... One time I tried to project and didn't realize I was still attached at my feet. Needless to say, I fell on my (astral) face.
The problem was quickly resolved by sending more energy to my feet. I was the able to get out without a hitch. Something else you may want to start doing, if you don't already, is to always ask your guide to help you. I always ask mine to take me where I need to go, or show me what I need to see. She never lets me down. Good luck to you. |

I had the same experience, where I was joined between two bodies at about face center or third eye, can't quite remember, and was able to spin, but not get loose. No advice there for you...
![]() Robert thinks that weakness during OBE is lack of energy body development, and I've read accounts of people who IIRC did energy raising and were able to proceed afterward - I mean tried to raise energy while out and so empowered their projection experience. See NEW Energy Raising for example. I'm sure that Mishell's idea of asking for a guide's help will improve matters. Give it a try. Take good care, Oliver |
