Heya, first post here,
I was hoping to get your ideas on something I experienced last night . I slept for about 17 hours as I was very tired after revising for and taking my exams. I woke up several times over that period and still felt tired so fell I drifted back to sleep each time. One occasion where I awoke I was as conscious as the previous times and glanced at my watch to see the time as it was already in sight, just needed to open my eyes to see the time. A few seconds after closing my eyes again I had this very intense, very loud ringing in my ears similar to the everyday noise you can hear in a quiet enough environment however this was extremely amplified. I've experienced this a couple of times before but nothing has ever come of it yet. At the same time I could not move my body (it felt as I would expect it to in a deep trance) and at the time I wasn't too bothered and tried to prevent the ringing getting louder by trying to move my body as I wasn't really too sure what might happen and had a slight thought of fear if I allowed it to get louder. After I realised it wasn't going to stop I let the ringing get louder and give it free reign and suddenly I felt my body feel like it was some weightless 'thing' and I felt like I was energy with some pulsations across my body. I could feel myself (mostly legs and arms) floating up seperate from my physical body so I tried to see but my vision looked almost cartoony as I starred myself in the face. I tried the rope technique which made the feelings intensify but from then on I cannot recall anything else and later woke up. I've got to a similar stage to this before but cannot seem to stay conscious (or remember) the happeneings thereafter or I am doing something wrong to experience a full astral projection. I've been trying to experience a full astral projection for a couple of years and have been practicing telekineses recently to finally get somewhre hehe. Comments welcome and too any help that could get me past this stage! |

Heya, first post here, I slept for about 17 hours as I was very tired after revising for and taking my exams. After I realised it wasn't going to stop I let the ringing get louder and give it free reign This is also known as astral noise, and is an exit sensation. You will find more about it in the AD pedia under 'noise, astral' or in the subsection 'early exit' experiences. The AD Pedia is on my sig. suddenly I felt my body feel like it was some weightless 'thing' and I felt like I was energy with some pulsations across my body. I could feel myself (mostly legs and arms) floating up seperate from my physical body so I tried to see but my vision looked almost cartoony as I starred myself in the face. I tried the rope technique which made the feelings intensify but from then on I cannot recall anything else and later woke up. You separated, but made the mistake of using rope to get out, because you already were out. The problem is that rope gets you out but if you do it after separating you may put your attention on your physical body and get pulled back in. If I were you I'd have looked around for something far away (even with poor sight) and flung myself away as much as possible. If you're clicking out it may be a sign of low energy. Are you doing any energy work, and have you read Robert's Treatise on Astral Projection? Comments welcome and too any help that could get me past this stage! It sounds like you're already on your way. |

The ringing is sometimes very intensive. I almost didn´t believe, that it comes from my head. This noise can kick you out of body, if it appear very unexpectedly. It is a noise before trance state too. I can tuning my consciousness with tuning the frequency of this noise, or it can induce opening chakras, because they are sensible to frekquencies of sounds. It is possible, that this noise come from seventh chakra while working and affecting other chakras. (and some concentration with sixth chakra)
Changing positions of parts of my astral-body or feel spinning, flying is typical characters of getting into trance. Sometimes I am lying, awakened from trance and I don´t know, where I have body at all. Before asleep it is almost always. |

from then on I cannot recall anything else and later woke up. cannot seem to stay conscious (or remember) the happeneings This is Typical, and may never go away completely. Our conscience minds are always struggling to adjust to the new environment (OBE) and we will lose some experiences to memory. At least until our expanding awareness can get used to, and understand better its alternate environment. Just because you don't remember what happened, doesn't mean that the experience wasn't relevent. Some things, you will CHOOSE not to remember... hard to wrap our 'monkey' brains around it...
Sounds like you are on the right track, good luck... |
