Hi everyone!
im only on day3 of MAP, but ive had some experience with new and trance meditation. ive been working more intensively with the NEW energy ways than suggested in the book, and last night something happened. after a long meditation that didn't lapse into a trance like i had aimed for, i set up the dream programming track to loop at a low volume in my head phones as i just worked on consciously relaxing my body and doing some new as i drifted off to sleep. i ended up remembering something about my brief experience of the astral vibrations in the past. i remembered the intense feeling of fear i had, and then the feeling of conquering it and just moving past it. and some how, i initiated this intense fear, it sent a shiver through my whole body that started a cascade of full on heavy trance. since i was expecting this fear, i was able to quickly move past it as i entered this unique mental space that was coupled with the body vibrations. my teeth were chattering at the same rate of the vibrations. at first i had the impulse to get out of my body and be fearless, and i tried and the vibrations definitely grew more intense. then another thought flashed into my head ( i think i had a mind split here) that reccommended i just work on my energy body while in this state at first. the vibrations lasted no more than thirty seconds. but came one again after 45 seconds of trying to restart the trance. and then lasted no more then 10 seconds that time. its possible i couldve astral projected and just didnt catch the ride on the energy double, yet decided to stay in my body. and then 45 seconds later i returned, explaining the second set of vibrations. point being, that i initiated the deep feeling of fear and dread and a slight presence of another being, and this brought on a heavy trance. it could've possibly been because of my memory of my past experiences. ![]() |

Could have been. Also, the presence of your projected double could have sparked the fear. But it could have also been the association with the vibes and fear from your prior experiences. Moving past it and being able to keep on going is great, it will help remove the association. But it it is a feedback loop it's a bit trickier. I can't count how many times I've felt that visceral fear, and knowing I'm going to conquer it, and then feel it again. Always surprises me it's so strong- It's almost an animal thing. But still we keep on truckin'.

The feeling or energy of fear somehow start a chain reaction, producing the initial vibrations in the energy body making you able to raise even more energy. I think there is an element of fear that has been overlooked working with the astralbody. Everybody seems to think that fear is a bad thing but in my experience its more often than not fear or fear-energy that triggers the energy build up in our energy body. However there is also a certain level of "self-control" that needs to be exerciced, you need to keep the fear level down to an extent that you don't get "panicky" which eventually will lead to you gaining control of the body and "waking up". Imo you should focus on the energy of the fear instead of the bad thoughts the fear provoke. Seems like you do that though and your description fit largely with my own experience of the fear element of energy raising |

I think you came over a technique I use, too, there. If you feel a specific fear during exit or in trance or meditation, and focus on the fear's energy instead of the thoughts it creates, you actually release the fear - a process known as "Inner Dissolving" and under many other names: http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewtopic.php?t=9353 You don't build up this energy, but it is attached to an inner conflict, an unresolved situation within yourself. If you focus on it and stay with this focus, you create a big energetic/emotional release by removing the blockage and converting it back to usable energy. We are, however, to my understanding, not utilising the fear energy, but reclaiming the energy formerly used up by having an emotional block - a fear holding us back or forcing us into automatic behaviour. The trick is with emotions perceived as negative not to turn your mind away but on them in meditation to allow them to be resolved instead of getting reenacted again - overcoming the panic response, as you said. Thanks a lot for your reply, your view of it made a lot of sense in terms of not using fear-energies but somehow making the energy bound by fear or conflict available. In my latest OBE, I used this technique and I must say the energy release it brought forth was nothing that I ever dreamt possible. Felt like I was attacked to a high voltage wire (no pain felt though). You can read about it in my thread here also. Thanks again for very good feedback. Mreee |

![]() I think many people come over similar phenomena, and I think this has many names, even tracing back to "Know Thyself". As you face what is inside you it unleashes you. Congrats to your progress - you may want to look into grounding these energies, though. If you want to be on the safe side in the long run, that is. Take good care, Oliver |
