JoSac,
Have you really stopped breathing or is this just the way you've gone about describing something else? Obviously, you need to keep breathing. It may be that you're just trying too hard and you might find it easier to get 6 hours sleep and then try projecting. Side effects of energy work? It depends. Before sleep it can cause sleeplessness. If you don't ground you may get highly emotional, spacy or upset the electrical appliances (seriously). If you do it sensibly and in increments you may find you feel healthier, more vital, more confident and exude more presence. You'll also find your OBEs and lucid dreams better. Side effects of OBE? It will possibly alter your views of reality and become totally addictive. You may find your psychic abilities develop. Read RB's tutorials. |

One additional comment: For the rope method to work best, it's better to be in trance (as deep as possible.) before trying it. It can be used to induce trance, but then it makes the whole process longer and get you to give up before you're ready, and therefore train yourself to not exit using it.
So my advice is to use trance techniques, energy body loosening methods, and then rope, for best results. Regards, CF. |

Ya its not that i stop breathing but it like i have to stop to focus on climbing the rope then once i feel the vibrations ill have to take deep breaths and it messes me up
but i actually missed a part in RB book and he sed to use a comfortable chair and not the bed (i hate lying on my back). So im going to get a new chair today (i need 1 neways). But there is no longterm effects from doing this? Like just getting paralyzed doing your day to day activities. And also im only 17 u think this will make it harder? Thanks. |

some side effects...
1. knowing you are more than your human body... 2. knowing that there is no death... 3. not needing blind faith to have a direct link to God/Creation... 4. knowing what it feels like to 'breath' pure energy... 5. knowing what it feels like to walk thru walls/ fly in outer space, etc... 6. new kind of empathy for those 'lost' in their religions...\ 7. healthier mind/will connection... 8. good friends have completely turned on me!!! 9. doctors think i am nutz... 10. parents think i am nutz too... Yes there are side effects... i seem to have completely isolated myself from the people around me, nobody knows what i go through... so for me... 11. living a double life, for the sake of ignorant people around me... |

But there is no longterm effects from doing this? Like just getting paralyzed doing your day to day activities. Paralysis is a side effect of trance- it happens when you fall asleep and dream every night. So no, this is not the type of side effect you can expect.
As EB said, there are side effects of learning to OBE, and awareness-opening is the most pronounced. Once you learn how to be aware of your energy body, to stay awake as your body goes to sleep, and to 'tune into' your dream body and your astral awareness while completely awake, you will experience things you may never have known were possible. And that can be life-changing, and some people can't handle that. So be warned, awareness of other realities can be 'tuned down' but never really turned completely off. ps. You should have read this upon signup, but if you didn't, please read: http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewtopic.php?t=8820 |
