Does anyone know a good recording program?

If you're talking about recording to your PC, download Audacity - it is full function & free. (or Open Source, as I was corrected to some time ago) & will record from any source you can get through your sound card.

It will also save as WAV or, if you download the lame_enc encoder, to MP3
