Default Getting cold
So I'm lying on my back and relaxing while focusing on my breaths. Around 10-20 minutes, I can't feel my hands and my chest feels heavy. Then I start getting chills all over my body, and start feeling cold. Even though I have sweater, two blankets and the heater on. Why is my body temperature dropping?

A drop in temperature is a normal reaction to deep relaxation. I think it has to do with the slowing of circulation aand possibly what the hormones in your body are doing at that point. I've read that this drop in body temperature is a prerequisite for sleep.

Hmm... chills are normally accompanied by shivers - maybe you're having the exit-vibrations & associating it with being cold?

Another possibility, if you're not feeling extremities, maybe your mind is associating numbness with cold?

Temp normally drops after sleep comes - it's also associated with time of night - it's hard to stay warm around 2 in the AM. If you have a partner, ask them to check you after 20 mins & see if you feel cold - it may be just a mental impression rather than an actual temperature drop.

Yup. One of the things you're advised to try if you have insomnia is sticking one or both feet out from under the covers in order to lower your body temperature and make it easier to sleep (never worked for me because I cannot go to sleep if I feel cold, but it does work for many people).
