It isn't a bad idea. There is a way for someone with a developed third eye to help open and develop the third eye of other people, much like giving Shaktipat for the activation and development of Kundalini in other people after developing Kundalini in yourself first. For that matter, even receiving reiki attunements is supposed to develop your third eye.

Hi , meditation , energy exercise , and practice in dim light will help . I suggest beginning while sitting in trance in dim light after raising energy , form a psi ball and then practice looking at it , the aura of your fingers , using a mirror and looking at your energy body , looking at sitters and reading the spirits around them .
