1)Howdy guys. In need of some views from veterans of APing. Hope you can help explain what happened to me. About 6 months ago I woke up at maybe 10 in the morning. So I drag myself out of bed and go downstairs. It wasn't until I was half way down that I noticed something that I have no idea why it didn't click when I woke up. As my body was walking down the stairs, I was looking down at it.
And then, just like that, once I realized I was out of my body, I returned to it and once again had a first person view. I had to sit down for a few minutes after that because I was at a loss for words, still am actually. How could I have an out of body experience even when my body is moving around like normal? Has this happened to anybody else? 2)For the last year or so, I've been unsuccessful with APing. I don't count the above because I didn't induce it. There's a recurring dream I have whenever I try to concentrate on APing before I fall asleep. In the dream I'm outside of my body but can never control where I'm going and I'm always still in my bedroom. Which brings me to the subject of my spirit guide. Three nights ago I sent out thoughts asking for my spirit guide to allow me to meet him/her and for me to be able to remember it. I don't remember anything but I had the dream of me APing again. I'm confused, does that mean anything? 3)Final question is are OBEs just that, leaving your body or is it completely internal and produced simply in your mind? I'd like to believe that we can and do leave our bodies however lots of people doubt it and say it's been disproved. |

Well, first of all I have to say that I think you had a false awakening with dream components to it. I first thought "autoscopy" which is a brain phenomenon, but it would only apply if you can physically see where you were from your bed. So chances are it's a dream.
For more info on how the theories on how this works read Robert's treatise, which I'll link to you. Treatise on astral projection: http://www.astraldynamics.com/tutorials/?BoardID=65 As for reality, I think the question is objective or subjective. Reality can and usually is a bit of both, and it's the same in AP. Just run a search on 'reality' and you'll find all kinds of theories and ideas on it in the forum. |

Is it possible that he may have been in a trance like state while walking down the stairs and then Remotely Viewd himself doing so? I remember reading in Astral Dynamics that you can do things, although slowly, while still having a Remote Viewing.
And if Astral Projection were false, I doubt the military would have spent so much time experimenting with it the way they do. |
