Hi, I was wondering if anyone has experienced while going about your business and you happen to feel to turn on your astral sight, and there all a sudden is a Eye just floating looking at you? Anyone know anything about this, I used to have this happen to me on and off, but of late i havent experienced it. Anyone comment?

I had a nightmare about a cloud of eyes once. It was very scary, something a horror fiction writer would write.

I've heard about that numerous times... You see a single eye looking straight at you in the darkness of your eyelids... Then it slowly fades and becomes like a looking glass, like a hole in your eyelids that allows you to see things remotely.

I've tried to make it happen by raising energy to the third eye, but it did not yield results... Most people who reported it had it happen spontaneously..

You know, I used to see that all the time when I was younger. (The eye, not the looking glass.) I thought it could be a reflection on the inside of your eyelid. (?) It certainly stopped when I got older. For whatever that's worth. However, it's been replaced by all manner of weird stuff, like the 'drip' effect I've talked about in one of the hypnagogia threads.

Third eye development may include seeing a floating eye whenever you close eyes in meditation and look through the brow centre. A sapphire or indigo eye is called the "Eye of Horus" by some .

When it appears to the mystic in meditation , it can be the higher self or a guide confirming that the third eye is opening it can also be an invitation to the realms , for example .

All humans are able to develop clairvoyance and all may choose to work a mystic's path or not . But the floating third eye can appear at the stage of energy body development that can afford success in mystic projection of consciousness . The first mystic initiation ,called the 5th by Alice Bailey, is held in the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid of Luxor . The mystic projects to the earthly one and their vibration is lifted to the higher planes to see the spiritual realm pyramid in Shamballah . There in the King's Chamber Horus greets mystics to begin lessons with the Mahatma .

That initiation is called blowing off the capstone . The mind is lifted , the vibration of the mystic is raised and the subtle bodies develop .

I see a floating eye in meditation very often. Never while I was "going about my business". Wouldn't want to be driving a car and have that happen. I see auras on things while I'm driving, and that's bad enough. Very distracting.

Yes, me too. It's often my own eye, but has also been the eye-on-the-pyramid on a backdrop of flaming snakes, and once it transformed into a moon framed by clouds. Other times it's been the eye of an owl, a 2D scribbled drawing, 3D and photorealistic, or an afterimage...once it was even "I", a top down illustration of me as an eye-shaped subtle energy field with physical me centered inside it, "the pupil" in the middle. I was really impressed by that one!

I've noticed this recently also.

I have no clue if my 3rd eye is open yet (I've only done about 7 weeks of energy work, nothing too extreme) but for me at this time it's just vaguely noticable if I close my eyes. The clearity of the image varies and this is not something I've seen prior to starting energy work.
