Default What to do with a constant sensation of falling, tips????
Sometimes during an OBE/exit attempt or WAY MORE OFTEN after sleeping then barely waking up I'm able to replicate the feeling of falling....I can feel the wind at my back/hair very strongly....and It seems I can indefinitely experience this...just keep falling...I've done it for at least an entire minute at times.....it fascinates me and doesn't cause any fear at all...

My question is, WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS except for continue the falling sensation when it occurs?

I'm always blind (eye feel shut), the most I've ever done is willfully turn in mid-air, body positioned the same but in order to fly upward instead (facing down).....

I need tips, ideas, of things to try DURING this experience...should I open my eyes?? Should I will a place? (my visual skills SUCK BTW, I never get hypnagogic type imagery...always seems to be TACTILE stimulation for me at first).

I guess I need some advice on what else I can do with this moment, besides feeling cool and giving up & blacking out eventually...

Have you tried an exit technique at this point? To me, that falling sensation is an exit symptom that you have to take control of.

There's also turning the falling into swinging, and commanding to see.

Thanks for taking the time to respond and help me CFTraveler!

I guess I'm not controlling it correctly...tried opening my eyes (extremely briefly, it was my physical vision!) after that tried rolling out, got a real strong sensation of my body tipping perfectly on it's sides while working up the momentum to do the roll.....) but it didn't work

....or wait, did it work?

...I have a memory of standing at the door at my GF's apt (where I slept) and looking out the keyhole....two people we standing there, knocking on the door occasionally.....and talking to each other, wondering if anyone was home or not....my girlfriend was sitting in her computer chair and we were trying to be quiet so they would go away....the memory is so strong that I sort of took it for granted for awhile after waking up thinking it actually happened! (she does occasionally get knocks on her door in her APT which we ignore, so it didn't see, crazy) I further asked her about this time and she said it never happened....

I believe I may have projecting but experienced the mind/split Robert teaches in his A.D book....somehow my projected self was able to save those memories in spite of me believing I failed at first....which doesn't seem to happen according to his theory....

maybe because there was a slight element of fear involved I remembered that? (I noticed the door was unlocked, so I was worried they would try to open it at one point)

Ideas?

Yes I have and the complete online works PDF as well and most (100 pages left) of Astral Dynamics.....I'm a fast reader so I've really tried to get a lot of material on these things...

What I don't understand is how my first 2-5 OBE RTZ projections could be soooo crisp and clear.... ) 3rd & 4th one to be exact, and now I can't seem to gain as "real" and VISUAL of a RTZ projection as those were...that's all I care about right now in my development...RTZ and getting a nice validation...why is it so hard? should I give up on RTZ and just try to go ASTRAL?

What should I do? Practice raising energy with NEW? change my technique?

I still feel like I'm missing something EASY with this continual falling feeling I get often....

I agree with what MalevolenT said about relaxing. When I have a dry spell, I usually don't project until I relax about it.
What should I do? Practice raising energy with NEW? Yes. IMO, energy is key in terms of lucidity and the time a projection lasts. change my technique? If by that you mean exit technique, I can't speak for you, but I change mine all the time, because they're all different, and what works for me one day may not the next.

I still feel like I'm missing something EASY with this continual falling feeling I get often.... I would say that the falling feeling may be a signpost that your brain is more apt to project than on a day that you don't, but that's just a guess based on my own experience with a certain 'swimmy' feeling I get when I'm going have a projection, before I actually go to sleep.
