I'm gonna tell you about an experience I had a couple of weeks ago, inspired by spectral dragons question to Robert at http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewtopic.php?t=6187
First, let me tell you that I'm not very experienced with astral projection. Those who have read my previous posts will know a bit of my history, for those who haven't, here's a recap (just skip it if you don't feel like it); Did psychedelic drugs and met higher self three years ago, did psychedelics a number of times and became telepathic and uncontrollably broadcast everything that popped up in my head (not very nice things). Had the worst year of my life as a result of this, being paranoid about thoughts leaking out. Started getting visions in my mind's eye and other weird experiences like shared dreams, and started getting waking paralysis a year ago in which I could enhance a swooshing feeling until it climaxed in mind's eye visions. Sometimes when I felt something else being present the climax would end in, presumably, dead spirits making contact. About nine months ago the climaxing of the waking paralysis started resulting in OBE's instead. Get them spontaneously a couple of times a month. Usually quite brittle, but not always. Often get the white flashes in the mind's eye that I've seen Robert talk about. For the record, I don't do any drugs and never will again. Alright, so a couple of weeks ago I was projecting in the astral. I don't quite remember, but I think that like mine most often are, it was a weak projection, and I could feel I was gonna lose control and wake up in bed. In a last attempt to do something, anything, to not end the projection I decided to fly straight up towards the sky. When I have done this earlier my vision has always turned black and my projection has ended. I could feel this was about to happen, but instead of waking up my consciousness shifted to something like a computer screen in my mind's eye. I was completely lucid, but I was no longer projecting, the vision screen and I were one. It looked a little like the character creation screen in RPG's, for those of you who are familiar with those, and there were glowing dots of light arranged in a straight vertical line. I intuitevely knew I was inside myself, and that these glowing dots were representations of my chakras. I "chose" and "clicked" on the lowest chakra because I have been told I need to ground myself, and was presented with another screen, where facts and statistics over this particular chakra was displayed. I remember there being a list of skills associated with the chakra with a percentage number next to each one of these. I had very low "scores" in everything. There were also a number of tests for each skill that could be completed, like "3 completed of 27". I tried one of these tests and was presented with a quick mathematic question like "What's 17+6?". The test was designed so that you were not allowed to think about the answer, you had to reply immedeatly with the speed of thought, using your intuition and gut instinct instead of logic. What this has to do with the base chakra I have no idea, I thought intuition was located in the brow chakra. Anyway, I didn't get my question right and kinda felt like I had a whole semester of work to catch up to, so I decided to end the experience and wake up. This is not the first time my mind has interpreted internal functions as something I can understand and relate to, which is what I believe happened here. When these kind of experiences first started floating up to the surface, during that worst year of my life, if you read my personal history above, I had an experience when I was in the hypnagocic state between awake and asleep, where I could access "menus", like in Photoshop, and choose a function that switched my vision from normal to black and white. It's interesting, I think, how the mind will create something you can relate to to access such functions. Well, there's really not any more to tell. Hope you found it interesting. |
