I seem to have hit a complete dead end for projecting (or even coming close to projecting). I would appreciate anyones comments or ideas on this. Has it happened to anyone else??
I do energy work daily on chakras, and sponging. I am very good at getting relaxed, relaxing either by tensing and relaxing from toes up or "crunching" all muscles, count 30, then release. This is where I am hitting the dead end for the last few months. I have had no "bad" experiences or scares so I don't think that is it. I get relaxed and can sit/lay for hours and even theough I am focusing on something specific, I can no longer get exit sensations or sounds. I just stay in the relaxed state. I have tried focus on noise in ears, third eye, breathing. Am I doing anything wrong that anyone can see?? Any input would be appreciated. I have gone OBE before......my log is on the BB somewhere. Thanks All!! |

My only thought so far is that your concentrating too hard. Maybe your focusing so much that you're not as relaxed as you could be?
The other side of the blade for that is you've grown to used to the way things have worked for you in the past, so you immediately get a little tense, thus keeping you from OBE, when things aren't working. I would suggest trying a new position. Perhaps with your head towards the north if you aren't doing that already. Place your hands differently. Just little things, little changes, so it's new. |

> russmi3,
Add 'Love' to your attempt. Be happy of what you do. Sometimes let the things go. Listen to your body. I think too you would ask help for beings. But you have to be patient with them. Question: Did you opened your third eye? Dougles De Long:- On a physical level, many of these newly awakened adults start to feel pressure, strange sensations, or even headaches in the forehead and temple areas. These sensations in the forehead and temple areas may be followed by pressure or tinglings sensations on the top of the head and all over the head. These sensations indicate that the pineal gland has been activated and that the third eye chakra is opening. |

Thanks for the responses. The only thing I can come up with is I am "trying" too hard also.
I don't really understand the "dry spells". To me it seems like it should be easier with time, not harder. Learning to ride a bike is difficult, but the more you do it the easier it is. Eventually it just happens, without even thinking. Seems like projecting should be the same. I will keep plugging along, and try the things suggested. Thanks again! Everyone in this forum is great, understanding, and helpful! Hope it is here for a long time |

I had a friend take me to play golf for the first time. He showed me how to hold the club & gave basic instruction in swing. I had a couple of fresh air shots while I learned to get the club to hit the ball then I connected.
Hole 1 - Par 3, I did in 4 Hole 2 - Par 4, I did in 5 By this stage he's looking askance at me & questioning if I'd even played before. Hole 3 - Par 4, I did in 22 The rest of the game wasn't as bad as Hole 3 but it was only the last few holes I got back down under double figures per hole. What went wrong...? The 1st 2 holes I 'knew' I wouldn't be much good & just relaxed & hit the ball. Then I suddenly got the idea I 'could' do this & I started trying to hit GOOD shots. That tensed me up & I did lousy. Maybe your expectations are getting in the way? |

Are you aware that with time, most people either have very mild vibrations, or no vibrations at all? I believe Robert has said this, but I can't remember where. I know it's true for me.
You may be experiencing phasing rather than a traditional OBE and not recognizing it for what it is. You say you are in a relaxed state. One thing that could help would be to let go of your expectations of having the same type of OBE every time. Your relaxed state may very well be the altered state of consciousness of "no time" (Focus 15), or "expanded awareness" (Focus 12) . Are you familiar with Robert Monroe's focus states? If not, I have a thread where I list them out. Becoming familiar with those may change your mind about what it is you are experiencing. Pay attention to what's going on with your eyes closed. Do you see any patterns, vortexes, colors, anything unusual? If so, sometimes you can "fall" into them and end up in the astral. My most awesome experiences have been done with phasing....no vibrations, no exit. http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewto ... 25&start=0 |
