So, about 10 minutes ago I was taking a nap, then I fell into a trance, but soon woke up from it. So at this point I'm laying in my bed and I feel the vibrations coming closer when I close my eyes, and I know if I let myself go I'll fall into a deep deep trance. I wasn't really in the mood for an OBE attempt, and I couldn't fall asleep without falling into a trance, so I just laid there for a short while until I actually fell straight into a trance and my astral eyes opened instantly. So I'm laying in my body, and I can move my astral limbs, I actually had more control over my astral body then I've ever had before. So I tried to get out, but I couldn't seem to really get all the way out. I would float out towards my window, then fall back into my self, and the further I would get from my body the calmer the Vibes would get. The vibes were sort of unpleasant, I was afraid my brain was going to explode or something, so I tried to calm it down, then I woke up. And does anyone know if there is a point where the vibrations can become too intense and be dangerous? Vibrations are never dangerous. I've had them so loud they sound like a jackhammer or chainsaw and so intense it feels like a machinegun is on my chest, and the moment I get out of my body they stop. I actually like them because they indicate being 'ready for departure.' |

This may sound silly, but it has worked for me on the occasion that I get stuck inside my body. I have had several (three for sure) Wake-induced OBE's and it was much more difficult to actually get out of the body than the spontaneous ones I've had in the past. I would feel the vibrations come on me pretty intensely and coax myself up, up, up, until there was almost an audible *pop* and my arms and/or legs were floating free but my torso was stuck (it felt like I was being pulled through a sponge to get there). After this I literally grabbed my chest with an astral hand and pulled myself out of my body, kind of like a cartoon manner. It worked pretty well and I have freed myself twice more in this manner (one time my legs got stuck and I had to crawl along the floor until they separated). So next time your arms are free but the rest of you is stuck try literally pulling yourself out by your chest and see if it works.
