Hello you all there,

i have had in the past (those of which i was aware) a few OBE's.

Here is a recount (i wrote them down, but due to a psychosis state of mind i burned all dreamjournals, i kept from 1998, i started a new one since februari 5th, 2004).


- somewhere in the summer of 1997, Rotterdam :

....I was jogging around Ahoy (a big sports and performance arena in Rotterdam) and suddenly i remembered what happened to me the night before :
I was or sleeping or in some sort of "yoga nidra" the state between sleeping and waking. I remembered that i "crystalized" out of my body,
from the space between the eyebrows, the eyebrowcentre.
I was afraid and every time i was "out" a bit, i came back. This went on for a while untill i allowed myself to fully get out.
When i was out of my body, i remembered that i was in great joy, everything around me was so quiet and peacefull, it was magic.
I thought by myself "wow, now i am out of my body" and decided to check this by looking at my fysical body, so i did. I saw myself lying on the bed, sleeping peacefully, surrounded by red lights, more "beams".
So i thought "now i can go flying over Rotterdam" and moved myself to the curtains covering the windows of the balcony. I remembered moving towards them and that was it, i don't remember anything more......

Question :
how is it possible that i couldn't remember going out of the window ?
what do the red colours, surrounding my fysical body, mean ?

-summer 1997, Rotterdam :

..... i was thinking that i could move out of my body by moving my body to the right or to the left and became suddenly aware that i already was out of the body, i had to smile in myself, thought it was quite funny.
I was floating before the stereo and heard a song playing on the radio, simultaneously i was in my body again, waking up and realizing all this.
So very quickly i turned on my stereo set next to the bed to listen to the radio, checking if the same song was playing and yes....the same song (however unknown to me) was playing. I was pondering about the fact that i was aware of the song, while the stereo was turned off.......

Question :
in the first OBE i "crystalized" out trough my eyebrowcentre and now i "moved from the left to the right", are there different techniques ?

-summer 1997, Rotterdam :

.....i was again moving from the left to the right or vice versa and remembered that i didn't feel like it (before i had a crazy lucid dream, my bedcover was "waving" like a madman, i jumped out my bed in great fear, floated down the stairs to notice two women having a terrble fight, then returning to my bed, making gestures on the wall, while the face of an old man appeared on the wall), anyway, i was afraid that this ♥♥♥♥ would happen again to me, luckily i heard a door slamming in the distance and i slowly woke up......

- october 7th or 8th 1998, Rishikesh, India :

this was the first day that i stayed in the Ved Niketan Ashram, determend to learn more about yoga.

.....i was a little bit out of my body, it appeared that the wall was leaning towards me, i could clearly sense i was a bit out. Then i heard voices on the right side of me, talking in a language i didn't know, could be Hindi, could be Sanskrit.
I was just begging these voices to get me out of my body, to assist me doing that, when suddenly they faded away.......

I woke up and this made me writing down all my dreams from then on.

- october 2002, Rishikesh, India :

I was in a psychotic state of mind, praying to God or Shiva, at that time, to help me.

.....I was listening to my neighbour's voice telling me to become fearless, courageous, lecturing me about things i forgot, but the last sentence i remembered was him saying to me : "YOU ARE ALIVE!!!, LIVE, LIVE!!", then i realized i was out of my body, i was bowing down on the floor, he was standing there before me and i had the urge to go to my body as soon as possible, it scared the hell out of me, so i did.......

question :
-in a psychotic state of mind, this fear is also there in an OBE?

-october 2002, Rishikesh, India :

.....i was trying to go out of the body, while i noticed and felt 3 black creatures sticking to my astral body, they were very annoying, but were just there, doing nothing but sticking to my astral body, i decided to go back in my body, cause i didn't know how to deal with this......later when i woke up, i remembered that i had a dream that i was walking down the road on the Ram Jhula side from the Ashram to the right, i saw 3 black creatures sitting along this road,they were a little embarrased and shy, like they were "caught"......

question ;
would these dreamlike creatures be the same entities as the one ssticking to my body ?
did i still manage to go out of my body, walking down the road ?

Hi Erik. I will try to answer some of your questions. I feel Aunt Clair is the one to ask the question about the colors, since she is clairvoyant and very educated in these matters.

Question :
how is it possible that i couldn't remember going out of the window ?
what do the red colours, surrounding my fysical body, mean ? It is fairly common in the OBE state to lose consciousness or 'click out'. This has to do with energy levels and lucidity. Sometimes the 'dreaming mind' takes over and consciousness moves in and out of an experience. Since you are living in an ashram I assume you are doing lots of energy work, I can only advise for you to raise energy before a projection attempt, so that you can experience it as it happens, and not fall asleep afterwards, which accounts for you taking a day to remember the experience.

in the first OBE i "crystalized" out trough my eyebrowcentre and now i "moved from the left to the right", are there different techniques ? I would classify them as different experiences of the same kind. I'll try to explain: There are many different ways of projecting your consciousness. I usually can tell by the exit symptoms I get. The first one, where you crystallized out of your third eye, I call phasing into the astral (because it's what I experience). In my experience, I move directly in front of my third eye (or eyebrow center) into the landscape in front of me. There is a forward motion and a smooth consciousness transfer. Then there is the 'feeling of looseness', which you described as the side-to side motion, which I associate with an RTZ OBE, which is a distinct separation and moving into what looks like the material world (except without the interaction) where you go through walls, fly around your neighborhood, etc. Sometimes in my case the heart chakra is associated with it (you could say I exit that way, I'm not sure about it) but there is heart chakra strobing, sometimes visible as a pillar coming from my chest area upon exiting, sometimes a sensation and noise that stop as soon as I have exited my body.

No questions. It is my opinion that we are aided by our guides/higher self when we OBE. Sometimes they help with the 'technical difficulties'. Of course they could also be hypnagogic hallucinations, or 'astral noise', which happens at the threshold of an OBE, and are fairly common, if you do this a lot. You do get used to it.
question :
-in a psychotic state of mind, this fear is also there in an OBE? -

It is my opinion that an OBE can happen anytime your consciousness is altered. However, it would be difficult to tell if you are hallucinating the experience or reliving it. In any case, it wouldn't be the first time you OBE'd, so I wouldn't give it too much importance.

did i still manage to go out of my body, walking down the road ? - You could have dreamed about your OBE experience, so the dream figures could be just that. If you are healthy after the negative experience, then I wouldn't worry about it.

I have one more experience i cannot put my finger on, i don't know if this was an OBE or a transcendental blessing :

- may 4th or 5th 1997, around 9 in the morning, Rotterdam :

I had many questions about life and death at that time and came across a bookshop in my own street i never noticed before, it was there already for a long time, it was a Hare Krishna bookshop run by a Dutch devotee, Sri Hari (left his body some time ago).
I went in, bought the Bhagavat Gita as it is and he gave me the Hare Krishna maha Mantra to recite, first i thought "what is this for stupid magic", but then a few weeks later i decided to chant this mantra for the very first time. It is simple and goes like this ;
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare...
so i chanted this with my eyes closed, softly whispering, sitting crosslegged in the sun.
This happened a few minutes later :

-.......suddenly my consiousness or something was lifted out of my body or something and i found myself taken up in the rays of the sun, there was no heat nor cold, no notion of time and i was getting sucked up higher and higher, moving in circles into those rays and each and every letter of this mantra became "alive" so to speak, like appearing before me in it's greatest glory, i have difficulty to explain all this, since it is almost inexplainable, but i was in bliss.
As soon as i tried to analyze all this i came down......

question :
is this an OBE or not, and what does this experience resemble ?

RTZ OBE is a projection into the Real Time Zone, the Astral Plane that is the closest in (vibration, focus, insert your favorite term here) to the material world.

My inexpert opinion in which type of experience you had- I think you had a mystical experience (epiphany, holy moment, transcendental experience). I had a version of my own when I was reading A Course in Miracles.

yeah, that's what is was, i think, mystical.

I thought about this OBE with the 3 black entities, because you said i might have dreamt that, but as remember now, i didn't.
When i became aware of these creatures, i decided to wake up and i did, cause it was too annoying for me and i didn't know how to handle this situation.
Later i fell asleep and had this dream about them.

So what do you think ?

Was i out of my body in this dream or not ?

Hello there and welcome to this forum,

well, i have thought about that, but an aura is all around your body, like a solar eclipse, something like that.
This what i saw, were just "beams", like these long light bulbs they use in offices, i don't know the englisch name, but in The Netherlands we say TL light.

I asked Aunt Claire through a PM, but yet no reaction.

I'm not scared, or anything, I just dont really understand what I'm supposed to do.

Do I just lie down, completely relax myself, no thoughts in my head, and im supposed to get vibrations?

you have to understand that i never had done anything to raise these OBE's, i really don't know the technigues, so i cannot give you advice.

I know that CFTraveller has a lot of experience with this, you might ask her.
