Hello everyone
![]() Last night I had a strange dream, and when I woke up, I asked myself “have I really done it?†It was an ordinary dream (until one moment) where I was researching OBE. I can remember many scenes from that dream quite clearly. But throughout the dream I was looking at myself from a 3rd person view, as if a video camera was chasing me all over. So, in the end, I was sitting at my old house (I used to live there about 10 years ago) and I attempted to project. I sat on the lazy-boy chair and closed my eyes. Suddenly the view changed from 3rd person into 1st person, I could see the darkness behind my closed eyes. To my surprise, I could actually feel physical sensations all over my body at that time, I felt kind of awake… The next moment I felt very different and weightless. I opened my eyes and saw my body (not the real one which was snoring its head off in my bed, but my dream body!), it was about 3 meters away from me. At that point I became COMPLETELY LUCID, I mean I’ve had lucid dreams before, but that was very different, everything was REAL, it didn’t seem like a dream. The only weirdness about my awareness was that I though, it was not happening in a dream, I though that I really live in this house and I just tried to project in real life. So I examined the house. It was different. I knew it was not the same, some little details didn’t match. Thinking of what should I do with this precious OBE state, I decided to go outside. As I approached the door, I tried to push it, but it didn’t move and my hand didn’t slip through it. It was like some kind of a force field. The solution reached my mind shortly after. Can’t remember where I read about it, but somebody said, if you have problems with walls or doors etc, try to go through it backwards. It worked! I sank through the door! I was floating outside the house. The outside was also a little different from what it used to be. I was looking at the people passing by, at the children on the playground… It seemed like none of them could see me. Suddenly, I felt an urge to return to my body… as if I just had to. I closed my eyes and felt my kinesthetic sensations solidify and when I got the tingling sensation, I opened my eyes. I was in my physical body. Franticly, I jumped off my bed and ran up to my computer to record everything I remember. When I looked at the clock, it was 6:30 in the morning (no alarm clock in the world would ever get me up at 6 in the morning!). It was really weird; it seemed to be so real. Last night, I took a break from the New Energy Ways, and MAP exercises. The result was groundbreaking. But I’m still questioning myself… was it an Astral Projection or just a Lucid Dream? It certainly wasn’t an OBE into the RTZ. Have you ever tried to meditate while dreaming? I have done something similar to that in the past, but nowhere near as successful, check out this link for further info http://forums.astraldynamics.com/viewtopic.php?t=5289 So, if it was an Astral Projection, then why none of those people saw me? If it was a lucid dream, then why did I not realize that I’m dreaming (what kind of lucidity is that?) I just gained full control over my “body.†And how come I got those sensations during my way in and out... Since you guys are experienced, please share you opinion on that phenomena… Was it a lucid dream (where I didn’t even realize I was dreaming) or was it an astral projection? Thanks you in advance for reading this epic story of mine, let alone responding to it ![]() |

A couple of fine points about LD: The 'lucid' and the 'dream' parts of 'lucid dreaming' are actually separate phenomena. Either can be experienced separately as almost everyone does every day. Clearly you had a dream and became lucid (consciously awake) with in it. The lack of awareness of it being a dream might technically disqualify it as a 'lucid dream' but only under the strictest definition. Its very unlikely you can be have a 3rd person lucid dream (as watcher) without being aware its a dream. However, commonly the 1st person dreamer is unaware its a dream. In more advanced forms with both a lucid dreamer and a lucid watcher, the dreamer is often unaware that its a dream even though the watcher is. |

Yeah, on other forums where i've posted the same thread, there is a confusion, some say it was an LD others say it was an AP... Since OBE\AP was a major part of my recent life, my first thought was that i just had an extremely lucid dream where i had an OBE. But in that case, why did i return into my physical body along with a set of sensations typical for an OBE, plus the awakening occured at 6 in the morning which is unusual...
I'd want to believe it really was an AP, but this case is dubious, and i'll have some comparison to make once i get a fully induced OBE. thanks for your response ![]() |

wait, so other people can see you when you Astral Project? If they are also projecting, you will appear as solid as they do. If they are using astral sight or energy vision then you will appear similar to a ghost. In the same way your ability to perceive while out of body is affected by your energy level, their ability to perceive you varies the same way. Note that most people without 'energy' skills can not see your projected form with their normal vision. |
