Default Aura sight - seeing like a cat
Started practicing seeing the aura of colors, then moved on to see my own, by looking at my hands, and WOW. A living human aura is AMAZING. Sure I've seen the photos, and while they DO get the color right, it's just not the same thing as seeing a real living aura. (I had no idea my soul was so pretty. I just love my color, it's like an electric indigo/violet. )

Then I started looking at my cat. I can tell I send out some kind of vibration when I shift into my auric sight, even when she's deeply asleep she always seems to move or roll over under my gaze. And then she looked up.

A few times, I've caught this cat staring intently into space when nothing was there. This time, while staring at her aura, I looked over my shoulder to see what she was so focused on, I couldn't believe it. I SAW WHAT MY CAT SAW.

It was this blob of energy thing, drifting past the door. I actually saw it.

I got the feeling it had been drawn in by the vibration of me shifting into aura sight, because when I do anything metaphysical, that's when my cat usually perks right up and starts looking at nothing. But I haven't been able to see what. (Until now.)

Now last night, I was having a dream, and felt it being manipulated by an outside force. I opened my eyes. At this point I am usually about to see an orb hovering over me, the "energy orb" of someone I know, tapping into my dream. I have been able to even recognize certain friends by their orb, they are so familiar.

Usually I have only a few fleeting seconds to see who it is. But THIS time, I could see this thing clearly in detail, for several minutes. I even drew a picture of it. (Still not sure exactly who it was, but think it was an ex-boyfriend from over five years ago. Something must have brought me to his mind.)

Now I know what my cat sees when she does that. And the kitten plays with air and has a good time. I guess he can toss those energy balls around-it's really funny to see. Chasing 'nothing', throwing it up in the air and catching it.

Leyla- when you say you started practicing seeing the colored aura, I was wondering what techniques or exercises you were using to acquire/enhance/lock in on this ability?

Just curious (-;

Here's how I did it. First, you take sheets of colored paper and put them against a white wall. I cut out shapes myself, red hearts, yellow diamonds, purple horse shoes (hee!) And then practiced seeing the aura on them. What happens is, you end up seeing the opposite color coming off the paper. Red glows green, orange glows blue, and so on

(Then you move up to plants and animals and so on.) The next step is you're supposed to try looking at your own aura, in the mirror. Well, I wasn't getting anywhere with that. I got stuck on that step. I could see the clear outline just fine, but no more.

Then, I found another technique that suggested looking at your hands. You take your two index fingers and point them at each other and stare at the space in the middle. It wasn't but a few minutes before I saw my fingers glowing electric blue/violet.

Now here's something nobody warned me about: The aura on a living thing has an entirely different quality than that of an inanimate object. An object just glows a color, a living aura is .... just so ALIVE. It was very shocking @ first.

After that, the next few days I tried just looking at my hand. In the air, against the wall, next to the sheets. In the dark, in the light, with the TV on. Got the same result every time. Whats really bad @ss, is when you see the color glowing, not around your skin, but coming right through your skin!

I think I will look at peoples hands to see the aura. The hair color, and cloths color can get in the way. Looked at my friend who's about seven months pregnant, she was green.

Thought this pic was cute, specially since my kitty is a tabby-point siamese, just like this one.

That post made me laugh more than a little, which I really needed tonight Leyla. Thanks for reminding me of that technique- looking between two fingers. I had totally forgotten reading about that long ago.

Hmm...this makes me wonder what my cat stares at above my bed sometimes when im in bed. It will just stare intently at one spot near my window near the ceiling...then sometimes it will seemingly follow an invisible object around the room with its head.

Rockie is a Lynx-Point Siamese. Same as tabby point I think? Yes, a tabby point is also called a Lynx, at least that's what they write down when I take her to the vet.

She was born completly white. She looked like an albino mouse. Markings came in little by little. She's got rings on her tail like a raccoon, a Siamese mask, and a little cream color on her ears and paws.

Cats use differential vision. This makes changes in the visual field bright and unchanging stuff turns medium gray(dull). Turns out that anything with energy is also bright (and stays that way). So to look at the world with full cat vision, things that move or have energy are easily noticed. Note that cats also have reflective parts behind their retinas that improve vision in low light (which humans lack)

Its possible to develop the ability to switch your eyes to this differential mode with some practice.
You probably have already noticed this from time to time. It happens naturally when you look at something for a couple of minutes without moving your eyes. Warning do not do this while looking at a light source. When you do this everything turns gray and fades together. Normally a blink or looking away will restore normal vision. With practice you can learn to do both without reverting. Viewing the world in this way looses the color information but makes it really easy to spot energy things.

Hey u guys, I've made a little more progress. I was just successful with seeing my aura in the mirror. It was different than on bare skin, like around my head it was bluer, because of my blond hair color, around my shoulders it was more green, because my shirt is pink, but against my bare skin, my neck and ear, it was the same electric violet/purple color as when I look at my bare hands.

So, I would advise being careful when looking at someones arua. Make sure you're not being thrown off by their hair or shirt. Personally, I think I'm going to look at their hands just to be safe.

Yes it works. Took me about 6 months to do it reliably. Takes me about 5 minutes to switch over. It takes a certain amount of concentration so I don't do it all the time.

wstein, how clearly do you actually perceive energy? I can switch over to this mode, it takes a few seconds normally, and everything glows in silver light (but takes lots of concentration to keep focuses as you say) *but* it's hard to distinguish much with it.

Everything seems to go 'pheripheral', am not sure if this is a great method for aura sight or not. Perhaps it doesn't work for me as it should because it's too weird doing it with glasses on, and glasses off I can't see anything even without 'switching' lol.

Anything that is lit normally (bright) is either moving or has its own energy (everything else is a dull gray). Differential vision does not distinguish between physics type energies and metaphysical energies. They all look the same. Note that I have presented this in an overly simplistic way. There are additional subtleties related to whether the energy is moving.

Most of the time is easy to identify moving objects. Don't rule out the possibility of moving objects with their own energy. The exception is if something is moving slowly like say breathing. One of the clues that it is energy and not slow movement is that most energetic things are energized all over and thus bright all over. Obviously rays or glows are energy. Movement rates tend to vary in different parts of an object (not necessarily actual, sometimes is your perspective or a relative geometrical effect). Thus spinning or deforming objects are unevenly bright/gray.

In ambiguous cases supplemental (metaphysical) energy skills can be used without obscuring the scene. Note that simply directing energy at an object will energize that object and make it bright. While a good energy training method, it does not tell you about the object. One of the things I do is put a static energy field on my hand and physically vibrate my hand (and thus the energy field on it). If the object has energy, this should cause it to vibrate at the same rate as your hand movement. Obviously you must hold your hand out of view to avoid washing out your own view (unless you have metaphysical sunglasses ).

Ah,. well I'll try lighting up a candle or something with a psi ball, and see if I can see it. Not many spirits have been hanging around for me to experiment on this type of energy seeing lately.

Gah! Spirit-Kitty scared me last night.

I have to shut her out of my bedroom @ night, because she is quite the little huntress, and will surprise me with a freshly caught mouse in the middle of the night.

So I was asleep, and she was probably upset that she couldn't get in the bed with me, so my clever Josephene solved this little problem by projecting herself right next to my pillow.

I freaked, because I wasn't sure who it was for a second. At the same time this happened, I could hear her "burble-purr" in the other room. So I knew it was her. Also, because the projection was cream colored and cat shaped.

For a minute, I thought maybe she WAS in the room with me. But when I came to my waking senses I remembered I had closed the door.

Don't let anyone tell you animals don't have souls.
