Default Is it OK to move slightly during trance?
I'm on week 8 of MAP now, but I'm not sure my trance is 100%. I definitely feel very tired and relaxed, its very difficult to actually move my arms and legs, it usually take me a few seconds to "wake up", but I do find myself consciously swallowing. I'm tall so my head rises above the top of the chair so I try to use a pillow to keep my head more comfortably aligned with my back, but its still not perfect. I sometimes have to move my neck forward slightly to swallow. I didnt know if this would keep me out of a perfect trance state or not. I just wanted to fix it early if it would a problem for OBE. Thanks,
Mike

It may be a problem since moving your body may bring your attention back to it, snapping you out of the trance. It doesn't interfere for some people, but it does for me. Have you tried a recliner?

Ya I'm using a recliner, but Im trying to keep that 30 degree angle. I may try experimenting and reclining a bit more so I can rest my head against the top of the chair, see if that helps. I just dont want to get too sleepy, I feel like Im at a good borderline state now, bit I'll try it this afternoon and see if it helps.

Its OK to move a bit but for most people it tends to disrupt the trance. If you are uncomfortable and not fully trancing already then there is nothing to lose. With LOTS of experience, even getting up and moving to the next room is possible.

In general, if repeated movements are required then you should try to change your environment to avoid having to do this (includes tipping head to swallow). Note that beginners make numerous (non-repeating) tiny adjustments which indicates more practice is required.
