1st OBE:
I didn't realize it was an OBE until years later. I was still living at home with my parents, and one morning, I woke up remembering looking at a picture I had hanging up in my room. It seemed different from a dream because everything was so clear, and so real. I could not have been just half-asleep because I have really poor vision and I would not be able to see the picture in my room without taking the time to put on my glasses first, and I would remember that if I did. I didn't really think about it until years later. 2nd OBE: Fast forward some years... I started reading Astral Dynamics out of curiosity. After only reading a little, I decided to just take a nap in the middle of the day with the intention of projecting. After only one or two tries I did it! Each time, I had left a playing card on the dresser nearby. Not only did I see the playing card... I could see the other playing cards that were next to it that were face down stacked up on top of each other. They were all jumbled together but soon I could focus in on one of them at a time. Still it was distorted, the colors were wrong sometimes, and the face-down ones had a reversed image. My exit was beautiful... I just floated out of my body, as easy as lifting my arm or any other normal action. Afterwards I felt so incredibly relaxed and at peace with the world. I was kind of disappointed with the experiment because I had looked at the card *before* writing down my experience. I felt like it was less scientifically valid because I looked before I wrote it down. I felt like in theory my memory could have self-corrected or something. 3rd OBE: Fast forward some months. In the middle of the day I tried to AP, kinda fell asleep, and soon found my arms out. With some minor effort the rest of myself got out too. I was blind though. I decided to call out with my voice to see if that would bring me my vision. It didn't work. My voice sounded really weak, and it was hard to use it. The interesting part is, at the same time, I remember being in bed, and feeling a presence in the room, and hearing a weak voice... my own! Gives the phrase "talking to oneself" whole new meaning! In bed, I remembering suddenly feeling like I was sliding through the covers, it was like a water slide, and at the end I found myself in a lucid dream. 4th OBE: A couple of weeks ago I was distracted from the occult for a while because of other stuff going on in my life. For second time I had an OBE that I remember during normal sleep at night. It's like some force wanted to turn my attention back to OBEs.... I was just laying in bed, in the darkness. It seemed normal enough, I didn't suspect a thing, but I rolled over and felt my arm pass through solid matter! I got kind of disoriented, but soon I figured I was in the bed or something. In my vision I could see the edge of the bed, but I was disappointed, I figured it was not really the bed because I did not recognize the pattern on the surface of it. The next day, after writing down my experience, I took another look, and saw that the pattern was not on the sheets, it was the pattern directly on the mattress that I saw. I find it interesting that I did not think of looking at the pattern underneath all the sheets until after I had written down what I remembered, as if the experience was for making up for the card trick. 5th OBE: Soon hopefully! |
