I had a very powerful set of OBEs two nights ago. I had decided to try to go to bed a little early even though I had just had some coffee, so I was somewhat wired. I had trouble going to sleep so I decided to try to project. I quieted my mind until I realized I was in that between awake and asleep mode, and then the vibrations began.

The interesting thing that happened the first time was that I thought that I had actually physically transported myself across the room during my OBE, because when I opened my eyes I was lying down in the living room. I must have gotten sucked back into my body again, because I remember attempting to get out multiple times. I heard the "astral noise", certain voices and strong feelings of alarm that seemed to be coming from within were warning me against continuing to project.

Earlier that day I had gotten a tattoo of a cross on my left arm, and I remembered that at this time. I said the Our Father in my mind and that made me feel more confident. Then, the vibrations came and I suddenly found myself out of my body and awkwardly trying to move around in black space. It took a great deal of effort to see. I imagined that I was wearing goggles and that seemed to help. When I was able to see, the vision was very blurry. But I could make out this desert type enviornment, and these human sized black insect-like creatures with very long snouts. At first I thought that the snouts were nearly as long as their bodies, but then as I began to focus I saw that the snouts were not as long as I had first thought. They looked like black preying mantises. I sensed that they could see me but were completely indifferent to my presence, so I wasn't scared.

I wonder if anyone else has seen these weird black insect creatures in a desert like setting during their astral travels..?
