since my teens I have theorized that while "objective" OOBE's may exist, that we may also have lucid dreams about OOBE's easily confused with actual OOBE's. by this reckoning I have only had one OOBE, many false ones and one OOBE that I wouldn't know how to categorize. every single one of my OOBE's so far have come about via sleep or dreams, unless I have others that I have not managed to remember.

I wonder whether anyone else has had this theory and what you think of it.

in my case I have only (so far) projected via sleep or dreams. as mentioned on the forum I have several times almost projected from a borderline state where hypnagogia meets dream. though I didn't manage to make all the way.
