I found out a while back that the different food you eat, and the music you listen to can alter your dreams. I listen to music every day, but i've never played music in my sleep. If i get myself in a relaxed and calm state, i was hoping to try using my mp3 player with a small selection of my favourite songs. I will set the sound to a sensible volume in which i am relaxed and not going to headbang to. If all goes well i'll be able to record what happens. If not i'll use a technique i heard of on http://www.spellsandmagic.com on the dream recollection section. It's when you get your mp3, or whatever you have, (Ipod, etc.) and with use of a microphone/ webcam record yourself saying, in a relaxing and rather mesmerising voice: "You will wake up after every dream and record your experience" More yes or no, it doesn't matter what you use but it has worked for me a few times when i have said it orally whilst lying down without the mp3 player, and spoken to myself in the mental state.
If anybody can get a response or have done already to what methods have been displayed in this thread, please post/reply soon and tell me of your experiences. I'd be much obliged, and thanks for reading. Hopefully soon i'll be able to tell you my experiences. |

I have also noticed that my sleep position affects the kind of dreams I have. As far as I can tell this does not affect my recall ability.
Laying on my back I have more 'supernatural' type experiences. I have found that telekinesis dreams corralate 100% to painful (unsupported) neck positions. If fact I instituted a dream protocol to wake me up and move so I don't wake up with a stiff and sore neck in the morning. Laying on my side in the fetal position, I tend to have conventional mundane dreams. Sleeping in a twisted position (face up with legs in fetal position) causes dreams that examine future choices. |

I know how to make myself paralysed, but i get some spasm effect thereon and it forces me to come into motion. The music i listen to and my sleeping position does affect my sleep, and the more i move the less control i will get over my dreams. It takes me ages to become relaxed, and this is uncommon because i'm usually either cold, or very hot and sweating which forces me to move around. Usually when i lie down flat i become paralysed and fall asleep easier. I've only recalled a couple of times and always they are in full blown colour and vividly realistic

If you have trouble trying to OBE because of relaxation problems, try projecting in the wee hours of the morning. Get up about a to 1 & 1/2 hour before regular wake up time, and walk around, plan where you would go if you go out and then go to bed again and start doing some light energy work, nothing too complicated. You'll be surprised at the result.
