I wondered if someone might be able to shed some light on an experience I had last night. Any insight would be much appreciated.
Before drifting off to sleep, I decided to listen to a grounding and protection CD I have. This is quite a common occurence for me. After ten or so minutes, I began to feel a tingling on the right side of my face, particularly around the jaw. I then noticed my energy body shift, in such a way that I felt as though I were falling into trance. My third-eye began to throb slightly, although not painfully. I was then aware that I could see stuff behind my closed eyes. Almost as though it were imprinted onto a light-coloured screen. The more I focused, I could make out fairly detailed figures/faces. I then found that I was looking at a rather large room with a huge ceiling, in which the windows looked very grand. All of which seemed to be overlaced by a white light. A pair of eyes seemed to shift into my view, and seemed to be peering into me. Throughout, I did not feel scared or worried. Just a curious feeling. Anyone have any thoughts on this? |

Tylendel, that light colored screen (along with the 3rd eye throbbing) you're talking about sounds like clairvoyance. Some folks have described it as a sort of a gray screen, with initial grayish or black and white images, which become clearer and more colorful over time.
From what I understand, you can project intention into the screen such that you "guide" and get answers from what you are looking at, and you can also enter/phase into the vision that you are seeing. Good on ya! It is an excellent sign. |

I don't travel out of body yet (working on it ) - but seeing behind my eyelids is what has been happening to me for about the last 3 or 4 years - it's like watching a movie running behind your eyes - have had a few experiences where I open my eyes and the vision is projected (or perhaps superimposed) onto what I am seeing with my physical eyes. In my experience the vision has evolved or changed over the years - it started out with only seeing energy outlines in green or red - then to fuzzy gray and white imagery - then to more real-colors - I have found myself seeing into rooms, offices - houses - I also have had several encounters with what I would call aliens/non-human lifeforms - have also had a strange experience lately where I found myself seeing into what I would call an asteroid field (large boulders floating around) but the vision I was seeing with was bizarre - everything in my vision was made up of lines - like a grid - almost like what I was "seeing" was computer generated. Is phasing like remote viewing? I would love to find out what this type of "seeing" is called and learn more about it too. Thanks for bringing it up!

Thanks for the input CF, and stargazer. p.s. It is my opinion that no method is superior- it just depends what you're good at. I, for example, have OB projections and have gone astral via portals- and in my 48 (pushing 49) have had one spontaneous phasing episode, and one that I achieved while trying to project. Happy travels! |

SundanceDreamer, thanks for sharing your experiences. Very, very interesting!
CFTraveler, thanks for the information re. phasing. I will definetly look into it. I was unaware of such a method of astral travel. Interestingly, I did feel that if I tried, I could step into the image I was perceiving behind closed eyes. |

Thanks for this thread and the explanations. It might explain an experience that had me wondering. I had been bitten by a dog and the night afterwards I had a lot of "catastrophe" dreams until I was in a bus and the street ended into a cliff and the bus started to fall down and I screamed in my mind "how stupid is THIS, it CAN'T be real". I became lucid but I neither woke up nor stayed in a dream. Instead, it was as if there was a TV screen but without images on it. As if it was off. Irritably I thought "what the heck is this now?" and only then I woke up.
Do you think it possible that it had been the "state" of phasing but without an open third eye (no sensations there) it was simply blank, not recieving anything? |

It looks like you were on the verge of phasing. I sometimes get very lucid visuals before I'm ready to OBE, but once or twice I've participated with the hypnagogics and gone 'in' instead of 'out.' Not much, though. I'm more of an OB'er than a phaser. |

You guys are so lucky. If you only knew how hard it is for me to get ANYTHING at all. I try so hard every night. I just get way too tired.
I can't feel my chakras, I can't get into a trance, I have a real hard time seeing with my 3rd eye, if I'm lucky. I only see stuff when I wake up in the middle of the night and close my eyes right away I can sort of for a second see after visuals. The only time I ever had any real stunning visuals was the first time. Some of us just can't do it no matter how we try. I fall asleep every time. |

darkrealmz wrote: Have you ever freaked someone out by telling them what they did last night during your OBE? No. Only my husband and he has seen some freaky stuff especially when I was having the episodes that brought me to this forum. Now I just write them on my journal as true to 'life' as I can. (If you're curious about this read my really old posts (if they're still around, I think from August of last year, or my OBE Journal, for 'regular-normal' out-of body experiences. (If there is such a thing, that is.)
