My friend doesn't have the internet on at home. I've been giving her books about astral projection and she's tried with success a few times.

The first time was upon waking. She started to float up but became aware of her husband's arm across her body and this put an end to it. The next time, she sat up in her body but then had a major panic.

For Christmas I gave her M.A.P and for the last couple of weeks she's been practising N.E.W. She recently had an experience where she felt hands pulling at her feet and woke up screaming. Understandably, her husband wants her to stop with the AP business. She also said she has heard a voice saying, "I can see dead people."

What should she do?

I think its halucination (its normal hearing voices and feeling things that arent there before the exit) and its harmless. if shes good at fighting her fears then she should go on but if it causes reall problems she should stop. eventually she has to know what she feels is the right thing to doo.

When I was having trouble with my 'being pulled out of my body without my consent' thing, sponging energy up my legs made it stop. Actually, my problems started before trying to OBE, (although I did it spontaneously for many years before) and learning how to do it deliberately and MAP practice is what made it stop. So stopping her practice is not what I would recommend.
If her (astral) body out of her control, then practice will put her in control. But I have to tell you, I had those problems for years before I figured out what it was and how to stop it.
I don't know if her problems are like mine were, but take a look at my old posts (from August to September '05 and see if it looks like it.) You can PM me if you (or she) has questions.

"I can see dead people": This is a major quote in the popular movie "The Sixth Sense". Just a guess, but maybe your friend has seen this movie, maybe it has also scared her a bit. Astral noises can come from the subconscious, regardless if one believes that it's just the projector's subconscious itself, or that there are entities who want to stop projectors from the exit (given that those entities or Negs could scan the projector's subconscious and extract sounds that are frightening to the projector). So this could be an explanation why it was that quote she heard.
