I wanted to thank whoever posted this tip, as well... I remember reading it.
ETA: Thanks, Matt! This makes sense... it's like your brain is trying to get in the last "Hey, move or your body is going to fall asleep" message. I've been working on starting trance meditation... the other day I got pretty close, I was comfortable, and keeping a clear mind, climbing down stair after stair... LOL at one point I suddenly saw a cartoon image of myself as a ninja chasing down and attacking a small, evil ninja... Anyways, my hands were to the point where I couldn't feel them anymore, and my legs were on their way, everything was going great and suddenly I just got this huge discomfort message. The moment I heeded it, shifting my legs, thinking I'd just keep going down... it was like I was "coming awake" and popping right back up to the surface like a floating cork, and no matter what I did I couldn't shake that "Yeah I'm awake" feeling to try again. I think if I had made a strong conscious effort to ignore that discomfort signal, I would have been there. I just couldn't get why I had popped up so quickly, and come awake so fast. Now, being reminded of that thread.. it makes sense. |

I just found this thread, the way you describe the paralysis waves is very accurate. I've never gone through the tunnel before! Only once or twice I've been in a state where I was lookingup through a tunnel but when I tried to interact with it I woke up.
Here's a post that quotes what Stuart Wilde says works for him in getting through the tunnel: http://www.saltcube.com/out-of-body/cha ... 24&p=0#433 It sounds like you were able to get into it with no problem at all but Wilde's method may next time you're in a tunnel |
