I think that we have problems interpreting some of the energies in the astral planes.
I often see "colors" that are oddly vibrant and pulsating during AP. I doubt if I have consciously been to what some would consider the "higher planes." So, I think many "mid-grade" astral realms contain perception-twisting colors, too.

I am a new member here, but this is a question that has come up for me a lot lately. I am a spontaneous traveler (I just posted in the new member forum - which kind of explains what happens to me). In my very first travel experience I "saw" only black space behind my eyelids with florescent green outlines - energy outlines of what I can only say were "creatures". The second time I traveled I had a dream where I shapeshifted into a hawk and awoke from the dream and was seeing everything behind my eyelids in red outlines - like night vision. Since those episodes, my vision and the colors I see vary. When I travel in realtime - since my episodes occur only at night ( have never tried a planned outofbody/remote view experience) I see with fairly normal 3 dimensional vision, but it is most of the time dark and murky - hard to "see" colors too much because it is dark where I am. When I have had encounters with what I call non-human life forms, I see in a grainy almost bad tv reception type vision - blues - grays - blacks and white - I most recently had the strangest of all visual trips - I found myself floating in what I would call an asteroid field - large boulder like shapes floating by me in what I could only call space - except the way I was seeing it was bizarre - it was like I was viewing a virtual reality program - Everything I was seeing was in a blue color and was had lines all over it - like a grid - like what I was viewing was not real - but something created by a graphics program - a blue screen with images on it made up of grid lines connected to create images. ANyways, I think color is affected by where you are when you travel - I agree that our brains can only interpret things in a certain way and when they don't quite know how to interpret something they kind of create what they want to or "make it up" Not positive on all of this but these are my conclusions as of late.

Ha! Ha! Sorry to laugh - it's just so nice to hear others asking these types of questions Um, no squids - I would say more reptilian type beings - at least so far - the most memorable and clear one was a seeing a being lying on the ground curled up in a fetal position with long feeler type things on its head looking up at me - seemed feminine to me for some reason and nonagressive - very bizarre..

i think ive been to the higher planes once all i say was pitch white. i can't tell where the ground is where the walls are or anything just the people

Are they bright, florescent, or are they just normal colors?

My suggested method to project to realms is to sit in meditation
in an open circle until you learn projection and clairvoyance
all of us can learn this it is like walking and talking
it is a normal part of the human growth pattern
after you learn these basic skills then go to a closed circle
or form one of your own
and the higher energy will allow you as a group to project
on a group merkabah to any realm of your choice
they are open to all

once you get to the 5th dimension then 6 is easy
after you get up to any higher realm
you can then access it as often as you like
you can learn to manifest a vortex and travel to realms alone
eventually going by will to the realms you have already visited
