Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to do a virtual reality projection into a computer screen image? RB describes how to do Virtual Reality projections in some detail, (ei setting up a poster with the right kind of light etc), but, wouldn't it be easier to do this with a computer screen? I would be nice if it were possible since I have tons of beautiful images I'd like to project to, like a blue clear beach where I could meditate. The possibilities and endless and you'd save a lot of $$$ by not buying the posters. Think about it, you could project to a beautiful Picasso or Michelangelo. Dare I dream that I could ask the Mona Lisa if she smiles or frowns? – Or look at the heavens from within Van Gogh’s Starry Night? I've wanted to try this for a while but my projection skills are lousy and I'm afraid that if I try for one of these I will lose all memory of the OBE. However, what if instead of a relaxing image I choose a scary one, like in the middle of a storm. Would that send me back to my body with a good-enough scare to ensure I’ll remember? Is there any risk of injury/energy loss by doing this? Alternatively, if the computer screen is too small (mine's a 17 inch) and you have a DVD burner you could burn a still pictures project to a DVD disk and play it on your TV. Any thoughts? |

Would that send me back to my body with a good-enough scare to ensure I’ll remember The only think I'd worry about is if it scares you enough it might give you unpleasant associations and hinder your further development. I'd stick with the 'Starry Night' scenario- just enough drama, with high beauty content.

Hello, I am new to all this, but thought I would give my $.02 worth since I was a computer tech for many years. Firstly, I have several Astral screen savers and screen "flashers" that you can set the frequency on. The goal of these is to set the flash rate/strobe to a setting in the Theta Wave area (3.5-7.5 Hz). Help me here others if I am incorrect on frequencies If you really want to get confused go to: http://www.lunarsight.com/freq.htm.
I have had very little success rate with any of these that I have. Maybe I have not used them long enough?? The point I am making is your computer monitor (and any electric device giving off light) are "flashing at a frequency" computer screens at 60 to 85 Hz. I am by no means an expert on the affects of these frequencies, but just staring at an unmoving/non controllable picture on a screen may have negative affects on projecting. Good Luck!! |

Hello russmi3,
I wasn't talking about software to help me project I was referring to RB's technique for a Virtual Reality projection. Here is an extract from his online treaty: Here is a simple, reliable method, I have developed, to create your own personal realm: Get a poster of a pleasant scene, something bright and sunny. The bigger the better, but standard poster size will do. Hang it on the wall ..... When you project, go towards the poster, keeping your mind blank. Don't think about what you are doing, just gaze at it and move towards it. As you approach it in this way, your subconscious mind will be tricked into creating an astral realm exactly like the poster. Just move up to and into the poster. It is like stepping into another world. Everything in this world will be exactly like in the poster. It will appear to be a normal three dimensional world, an exact copy, indistinguishable from reality. I was pondering if it is possible to enter an actual storm by doing this, and if so can this damage or destroy the projected double? I always understood that the projected double was practically indestructible by physical events, but a storm could be moving more than just air. Lightning for example, a high-voltage discharge like that would probably have a strong effect in the real time zone. Also, if I project to a well-known image, like Starry Night or Mona Lisa, could I accidentally enter a dream-pool (or other type of collective reality)? - More than enough people have viewed the image to justify the existence of such a place. |

This is the basic principle behind travelling to Astral Pulse Island (API) at the astral pulse forums/website. You can read more about it here.
http://www.astralpulse.com/locale/ Essentially, people put that picture as their desktop and coordinate times to meet there. |

Jonathan, I was not trying to confuse matters, I knew exactly what you were talking about (RB's virtual projection). I was just trying to state that using a poster may be different than using a computer screen. A poster is not an electronic device that is "flickering" to a frequency as a computer screen is. Sorry for any misconception . Should probably keep my mouth shut until I know more............................
