This sounds like what is known as a false awakening. It is usually a lucid state and one thinks they are awake. The bedroom (or place where one went to sleep) can look exactly like it does when awake, but for me at least, a lot of the time a small detail will be out of place and show that I'm actually not awake. Some of these things can be humorous. On one occasion I thought I had woken up, so I opened the curtains and lay in bed reading. I then noticed smoke coming from the bottom of my bed, I pulled back the covers to see a thick steam rising from my feet. This immediately told me I was in a false awakening state. I've never attempted to initiate an OBE from this state, but the fact you are experiencing is a great sign that you are on your way to an OBE.

this morning i did some energy work and i must have drifted off, then i was looking around my room, from the sleeping position and realised my computer was missing and so was the desk and there was a few folders on the floor in its place. I realised that was impossible and that I definately hadnt been burgaled and this must be a oob type thing and so tried to push it. I managed to rise up away from my body briefly in a push of a shift of conciousness, and my head started buzzing really nauseosly which threw things out of balance. Thats happened once before a few weeks ago, anyone else had a simaler thing?

Maybe three times I've woken up with the vibrations (sometimes buzzing, sometimes humming, or warbling) but my eyes were closed, so I didn't see if there was anything different.
Sounds like "reality fluctuations" robert bruce talks about. At this site, I think, actually. It at least talks about it in Astral Dynamics the book. |
