Default Darkness and Light
Friends,

Every-time during the night when I project its also night time. On rare occasion the astral will be lighted. I do have a few nightlights on in the the physical bedroom but this doesn't seem to do the trick. When I'm in the astral, I will my intent with the lights turning or or welcoming daylight to appear. Been down the road of turning on the light switch but nothing happens

Can anyone suggest a good method of turning darkness into light?

I've been mentally suggesting to myself with affirmations about radiating in light and the world around me be day. Different combinations of suggestions to program. We'll see how it works and hopefully, I can get on with the experience.

Thanks for the info.

You will find in the astral as in lucid dreams expectation will play a large role in what happens....if you try too hard for something quite often you tend to get the opposite....a method I have found very effective for getting what you want to happen is quite hard to describe but if you don't will something too hard you just kind of 'expect as though you know it is already there' try and think in your mind 'there will be light' but without thinking that phrase in words. I call this higher band communication it is non verbal communicating with the unconscious

Ok, this is a simple one but works very well for me. I just fly toward the most brighter part of the dreamscape. The key is to movc slowly but deliberately and to avoid the light traps of phantom houses.

Orin,

It always seems that when I'm projecting and its night it always turns out to be a mental game with the light switch. I've done this hundreds of times and tried. Yes, I do realize mental affirmations before hand help but again it seems useless.

I also find that when I come up to doors it will shut just as I'm ready to approach. Hence, the door will slam on my hands and create one beautiful sensation of pain.

The mind has an annoying habit of causing things to happen which are the opposite to that which you wish to happen in the astral/dream realms. When I talk about communicating to the unconscious non verbally I am not talking about affirmation, more just like 'sending a wish' ask as if you know it is already there. I had experience of this before when I became very proficient at lucid dreaming in that I would experiment to try to get things to happen and change scenery etc and I found that when trying too hard the opposite would tend to happen...For instance I would come to a door and in theory you should just be able to walk through it but for some reason it would be locked....to get round this I would expect to find a key in my pocket...I would then reach in and there it would be! allowing me access through the door.

Another thing I use is my dream staff... It is like a real life magic wand, I collect a branch from a tree (whichever wood has properties you like) I then dry it and sand it down smooth, and imbedded a crystal in the end. I would then sleep with it by my bed and once awake in the dream I would collect it and use it to create things I wanted in my dreams or to banish characters I did not want or open doors....bring light ...or whatever you want it to do...it may take some practice to get it to do what you want but its definately a worthwhile thing to do...try it!
