I've not yet been able to achieve conscious projection. What I've been doing is waking up a little earlier, and then I say a dream-recall Mantra that I was taught, and if I keep saying it as I fall asleep I find that I "wake up' my mind while my body is asleep, and hence am able to then either roll out or sit up and walk around.

Default Making the exit
Hi everyone,

I'm new here, I've practiced lucid dreaming for some time but not recently, and my interest has been sparked in astral projection which I had always written off as another form of lucid dream until lately. I have just started reading Astral dynamics, and thought I would give it a whirl.

Anyway I have been practicing projection techniques the last few days and will explain where I've got to:

I lay on my bed and relax and begin to feel the energies moving around my body, I feel this for a while and focus on different areas of the body until I no longer feel the body as such just more like a big ball of energy then my legs begin to quiver and my breathing changes and at this point the energy rise to my chest and my heart begins to beat faster and loudly and I feel as though my energy body is ready to exit. Streaming flashes of light appear in front of my eyes like a vortex beginning to open but then my body relaxes and instead of exiting I have been left feeling as though I am floating within a big ball of cotton wool....but no vision and no exit.....

Just wondering what techniques there are for getting out at that point....I am sure it is explained in the book but I've not got that far yet and was just wondering what techniques you guys use for exit.

Thanks

just imagine yourself like a log while the vibrations are kicking in and roll out of your body and onto the floor to make your exit- very simple method and productive.

laiana,

I've posted this on other sites that seems to help many people. Its a mental game of tricking yourself into the trance state. What can work well is having a alarm clock near by and set the clock to go off every 1/2hr for the whole night. When you awaken and go back to sleep, your body is tired but you must remain active with that intent of projecting.

Your body will fall asleep, but the trick is keeping the awareness and allowing it to switch over and can be easy. After every 1/2hr that you awake because of the alarm going off, you will find yourself sometimes awaking into the trance state, or false awakenings = projection time!

Thats one method of many... But what really works for me is the following:

I'm constantly mentally thinking of astral projection, reading, listening to the subliminal tape, talking with people on-line mental affirmations to myself during the day, reciting, crystals, and acting out my intent, setting up experiments and with goals in mind, writing down in spreadsheets and tracking foods, sleep, experiences..

This is what it takes for me to be successful at projections. Its a lot of mental/physical work and its paying off again...

So far to date here's the breakdown from May 25th to 7/29/2005 since I started back up. From 1988 to 1994 I've had over thousands of experiences and was fluent. Through out the years after, I would still project but not on a professional level.

Conscious Astral Projection - 19
False Awakening - 4
Lucid Dream To Astral Projection - 2

Hopefully, you can use this information to further your own studies and practices. There is no OBE pill that you can take to project...
