This is too cool.
German Shepherd? Belgian Malinois? Navy SEAL Hero Dog Is Top Secret As you may have heard, the Navy SEAL raid that took out Osama bin Laden included a four-legged soldier - aptly described as "the nation's most courageous dog" by the NY Times. Such a revelation has sparked tremendous interest in the use of war dogs, while also shedding light on the technology these canines use to assist SEAL teams on missions. Dogs for this line of work (the military uses Labrador Retrievers, Belgian Malinois, and German Shepherds) require a significant investment (an estimated $50,000), so it's in the best interests of the owners to equip their canine comrades with the best in safety and high-tech surveillance. Below is a short list of the most common tools used to turn man's best friend into a modern peacekeeping/assault soldier. http://www.mnn.com/green-tech/gadget...navy-seal-dogs The animals will attack anyone carrying a weapon and have become a pivotal part of special operations as they crawl unnoticed into tunnels or rooms to hunt for enemy combatants. The cameras on their heads beam live TV pictures back to the troops, providing them with critical information and warning of ambushes. ![]() http://www.globalanimal.org/2011/05/...-secret/38799/ |

as much as I'd like to champion this myself... I can't help but wonder if replacing an animal's teeth to improve it as a weapon, is a form of cruelty. okay, I see thats been debunked in your links, thanks cause yesterday I read that and was creeped outm HOWEVER that article I saw before did have a pic of a dog with all 4 teeth replaced. So I'm not sure thats really a case of just needing replacements
