I could...........lol

I got them almost all right............

Some of them are very small so I had one typO..

THe central asian were the hardest.......

Have you watched that program smarter than a 5th grader??

I watched a few times & thought it rather lame........... But interesting..

A friend had told me about it a couple years ago & when she was describing it she mentioned some examples.........

The first show I watched was a rerun I guess as they asked some of the same questions......

SOme I found horrible- like how many states "boarder" the pacific ocean...... answer 4.... wrong NO five......... They include Hawaii..... Hawaii does not boarder the freaking ocean, it sits in the middle of it...

Which bear is biggest?? Could be either a brown or polar........ does biggest mean size (height) or actual weight??

I talked to a fourth grade teacher & bounced it off here & she said a fourth or fifth grader would know- bigger mean tallest......... I dunno about that.......

GRRRRrrrrrrrr lol

LOL.......... I could not recall which went were......... I rarely ever look @ modern maps of that area........... It was all easier when them were just commie Ruskies.........

Have you studied the Mongols & Moguls??

I have always found Central Asia fascinating & the various interplay they had w/ such far off & diverse cultures.......

Excellent thread tristanrobin!! I did ok in the Middle East, but blew it in Northern Africa.

I am still trying to figure out why, the other day, I did not recall that India and China shared a border!

Lesson to be learned is we should all make an effort to post maps when we discuss a topic. While several tried to show off their knowledge of geography, my bet is half the members of DCJ could not tell us the names of the States that surround Illinois!

Was just curious....... Over the years I have brought them up a few times & I only hear crickets & ZZZZzzzzzzz's............lol

The Moguls of Northern India were some of the richest ppl on earth for a while...

The great explores didn't go out "discovering" they went out looking for their riches........... Funny when they got there it was the richest on earth & when the left it was one of the poorest & great britian was one of the richest........
