If true that's fantastic news.

Just tuned into MSNBC and am having myself an amazing laugh right now. When Rachel Maddow is off they get a guy who looks exactly like Maddow and talks like Maddow(you know, talks to viewers like they're in 4th grade while using a constant sarcastic stuck-up tone), with glasses like Maddow to fill in. This is freaking hilarious.

Only difference is he has a tie. LOL what a network.

Olbermann Leaves ‘Countdown’ on MSNBC

In a closing statement on his show, Mr. Olbermann said simply that it would be the last edition of the program. He offered no explanation other than on occasion, the show had become too much for him.

Mr. Olbermann thanked his viewers for their enthusiastic support of a show that had “gradually established its position as anti-establishment.”

Sorry, didn't see this post before I posted the other one.

Still waiting for the story to unfold on this one and for the facts to emerge, but as stated in the other post, it doesn't make much sense to let your ratings leader go?

would have been nice to maybe have a week or so of episodes leading up to this, rather than the abrupt this is the last episode, as it occurred.

personally, I don't mind the new lineup but I'm not so enamored with some of the time slot changes.

guess we'll just have to see where KO lands in the future!

I dont like some of the changes taking place.... Ed Schultz is being hidden in the 10 pm time slot I approve of that..... but The Turk taking his place seems pretty weak.... we dont really need another angry rich dude on TV...... Lawrence O'Donnell is too much of a whiner to be in the keynote time slot.

Rachel's ratings will be hurt with this change.

Also starting Monday, Cenk Uygur, MSNBC contributor and host of the popular web show “The Young Turks,” will be filling in as host of the 6 p.m ET hour Glad Cenk is getting a shot....

He is new, refreshing & outside the box most of the time.....
