We're simpatico here. It's revolting to celebrate anyone's death/illness regardless of their politics.
Brilliant....

Politics?

How about billions of dollars from elderly, and from charities?

The number of victims from Bernard Madoff's alleged Ponzi scheme continues to grow. A list with thousands of names of clients who invested money with Mr. Madoff was released as part of a bankruptcy-court filing. Below, see some of the most exposed investors and sort by the amount of potential losses. (See full Madoff client list. | Complete Madoff coverage) --Updated 03/06/09

How does that justify celebrating the suicide of someone who turned his own father in?

Admit it. You're jealous because the Madoff son was a rich and handsome man, two things you'll never be.

The green monster is a terminal affliction with no cure.

I'm jealous of no one. Envy isn't in my DNA.

So sorry you didn't have the same luck.

Sure they knew their Dad was rich as hell, but a lot of pretty savvy investors were taken.

Why do you think his sons would know how it was being done?

.
I'm not taking any joy in the man's suicide. But I'll question that one... How could you be an investment banker working for the firm running a giant ponzi scheme (run by your father) and not realize what is happening? You don't question what the investments are, that giving that return? really?

The man suicided because "he was brought to tears that no other firms would hire him" he either was a really really BAD money manager or he was dirty.

either way, he was so miserible over not manitaining his rich live that he opted out. Money was THAT much more important to him than his own son

How do you know why he did it?

it is described by his friends in new stories. You don't think that type of reaction to being unemployable is a likely contributor to his killing himself?

Because the Ponzi scheme was but of one part of the business.

Madoff (click here)
Two years ago, shortly after his father summoned him to his posh upper East Side Manhattan home to disclose the $60 billion Ponzi scheme that has cost so many their life's savings, he told friends that despite his own involvement in his father's business affairs, he was stunned when he learned of the scam. His lawyer had instructed him to have no communication at all with his father, or with his mother, Ruth Madoff, who Mark Madoff is said to have considered "an enabler."

It is also described that he was depressed and tormented over his father's actions.

No one knows, but chances of depression and angst over his actions are more likely to have caused it than something as simplistic as unemployment.

unemployment is not simplistic to people with VERY VERY high standards of living.

he had to put his Nantucket hse on the market, his social status and his self worth were threatened

And his father is in prison for life, he has to wear the surname like a scarlet letter and his wife changed her name back to her maiden name.

Go figure. Being the spawn of such an infamous crook and the effect it has on your life is much more disturbing then having to lower your standards, IMO.

He was reported to have been relieved at his father's imprisonment. The effect, of course, was that he was being sued for millions

And this is proof that his money was more important than his family or his own life.
