That is my point. I do not see the big deal.

I am much more offended by teams like University of Alabama and their cheer of rammer jammer:
Hey other team!
Hey other team!
Hey other team!
We just beat the hell out of you!
Rammer Jammer, Yellowhammer, gave 'em hell, Alabama!
This cheer is used after every victory whether they win by 1 or 71. Sounds unsportsmanlike but there again it is only words.
maybe if you did not lose to Bama so often ? ijs

Greatness is fleeting. They were the greatest team on that day. The boxer who claimed himself the greatest was at one time and today he is suffering from all those fights.

I don't think they intend to do anything but entertain
however modesty is better than a boasting pride when socializing

Default Greatness has been found.
Not sure why this being made a big deal? 3 gold medals in a row is pretty great. It is not like it takes a shot at who they beat. Seems there was a boxer when I was young who claimed himself, "I AM THE GREATEST!"

Never saw that done before

I am surprised the IOC allowed it

Seems a bit arrogant of the team and Nike if you ask me.

Not that I really give a shit about it.

Don't you just love when some jacka** thinks that he/she is better than everyone else. Love to hear their excuse for why they lose next time they do.

so no-one is blaing the team, they were handed the shirts and told to put them on - fair enough
no one is blaming Nike - why would we, they just made a killing, every teen girl in the US wants one of these shirts, typical nike marketing, very effective

So, who are we blaming for this? really it is no big deal

1. I can't help but wonder how much Nike had to pay the Olympic committee to have those shirts pass. Seems that the Olympics, like any other sporting event, is becoming nothing more than being about money.

2. "Greatness has been found"? Playing a ******* soccer game? They don't have a clue.

3. Thank you for clarifying that Alabama chant up. I could never understand the way people from Alabama talked LOL
