Bringing the christ-child and all his insane followers into the mix will be the spark that sets it off.
I love it.

I'm not even a Tebow fan and don't really care what the guy does, but because he gives thanks to his God and isn't afraid to do so, you call him the Christ-child.

Personally, it's refreshing to see a man of Tebow's character playing professional sports when a lot of times you have multi millionaire prima donnas playing sports who get involved with who knows what in their personal lives because they're nothing but trash with money. I think a lot of these guys get pissed because Tebow is getting the attention and they aren't. I don't think Tebow asked for it, but the news pushes it because they can sell it and make money.

At least female reporters in and around the NYJ locker room have less to worry about

Wonder if eli manning persuaded payton to insist that denver sent tebow to jets so NYC media would feed on green blood and not focus on NYG

No, I call him the Christ-Child as an homage to the legion of ignorant and ridiculous people who have become his rabid, vocal fans ONLY because of his publicly religious stance. People honestly believe that he has managed to get God himself to involve himself in the outcome of football games, and actually believe Tebow is entitled to a lifetime multi-million dollar contract simply to reward his testimony, regardless of whether or not he actually has the skills to play the game. (Which, by the way, almost NONE of the actual coaches and football front-office people believe he has.) And I would say that guys are pissed not because he's getting attention and they aren't, but because he's getting attention and sucks as a player.

Point is - as debates like this prove - he is highly devisive. And the Jets are probably the one team in the NFL who cannot absorb that into their locker room.

well, after Tom Brady has fallen off God's gift list and the fact remains that Peyton has only been to two Super Bowl's you have to wonder if it is on him or his defenses? I admit that Peyton Manning is much better stat wise than 95% of the league, but he really needs to either amp up his game (if at all possible) or have a better defense or he will not win. and the Giants shoved my Patriots around again. But their defense came on late to the Patriots, just when they needed it most.

I thought Matt Millen was the worst GM in history. This clown running the Jets has to be at the top of the list now.

It will make for interesting fodder in NYC though. The press should have a field day.

Why would they trade for him let alone give up that much in the draft is just unexplainable. They just signed a QB for back up. Stanton did not get much time to play in Detroit but he did ok.

stanton is a good qb, did well at state and would have done well in detroit given more time

Tim Tebow doesn't suck as a player. He isn't the traditional player, but THAT'S why he get's the attention not simply because he's religious. I've never been a huge Dallas fan but I respected Troy Aikman again NOT because he was religious-and he was as well, but because he was a good QB. Am I saying Tebow is as good a QB as Aikman....NO.

I am not particularly religious, I don't care about that, I just admire skill.

I don't think Tebow will ever be the greatest QB ever, but I do think he will be surprising to watch and hey surprising is fun!

Well, from what I read today, Stanton is asking to be released or traded now.

HAHA. I love how the Jets manage to just screw up everything. Although, that probably has to do with me being a Giants fan.

And I do think Tebow is a good athlete. Heck, he is a Heisman trophy winner. I just cant believe that the Jets would create their own QB controversy, when they have so much else to worry about.

For myself, it would of made more sense for Tebow to end up in florida.
