Before Bob Kraft became the owner of the New England Patriots back in the mid-90's, the Pats had only been to the Super Bowl once in which the Chicago Bears pummeled New England. But since then, the Patriots have won three Super Bowls, went 16-0 in '07, and went to the Super Bowl five times all-together since Kraft took ownership.
I'm grateful that he helped turn things around. Every Pats fan loves him. However, Patriot fans conveniently forget that he came close to moving the team to Hartford, CT in 1998. Sure Connecticut is still technically in New England. But it's not exactly a short drive from Boston either. If Kraft had his way, the Pats would not be playing from Foxboro. But the deal fell through. How people forget... |

The old Foxboro Stadium was decent, even towards the end of it's existence. However, the parking lot wasn't even paved.
My dad complained about this to me more than once. But my response was "Who cares!" I was just grateful the Boston area still had a football team (especially back in the 90's, as all you heard about back then was about teams moving). |
