First they let the Tigers bat in the 2nd inning last night in a torrential down pour. That was moronic on several levels. It was dangerous for the batters who had trouble seeing the ball and it was a miracle the pitcher did not get hurt as the pitching mound was a mud pile. Plus it was the top of the inning so we bat in the rain and the Yankees come back tonite in a clean field with no rain and damn near take the lead.
Then they changed the rule where the game is continued instead of starting from scratch. Sounds like no big deal but Detroit had a line up set up to go against a left hander and now they face a guy that is lights out against right handed batters. Meanwhile the Tigers have another right handed pitcher so the Yankees lineup is not affected. I hope Bud the moron commissioner goes to the game and falls on his ass and breaks his leg. Yeah I am biased but I would feel the same for any other team getting screwed like this. |

They need to speed up the game. They take waaaay too long and in todays world that is a kiss of death. If the trend continues it will be only Latinos playing in the big leagues. That is no slur on the Latinos. Just a fact that very few Blacks play pro ball and kids don't play the game like when I was a kid. Too many other distractions for kids anymore.
