ok so I just joined, and there are HUNDREDS around my town, and about a dozen out in Galveston.
![]() I'm not sure exactly what each one is supposed to be though. And do you always get to claim them? Like say you found them? One girl said I have to e-mail her answers to things and pictures to prove I was there - are they all like that? or Are some of them where you just go and take things from the box? |

man Tash - you really make me want to do this! ok so I just joined, and there are HUNDREDS around my town, and about a dozen out in Galveston. The one that you were talking about w/ the photos and questions is what's called a "virtual cache." Those are fairly common, but not the norm (although I find them to be a lot of fun). The "normal" or what is called a "traditional cache" is what you're talking about where you find the cache and remove an item while leaving something of equal value in it's place. There are many different kinds of caches (multiples, traditional, virtual, letterboxes) and I think there's a good explanation somewhere on the website for each type. It really IS a lot of fun, Janie...I think you'd like it. ![]() |

I am TOTALLY going to find some in galveston. I have a TomTom, but not sure if I can enter GPS coordinates in mine, but my roommate has a droid - the droid has to have an app for that right??/ ![]() |

Lol...kinda negelected this post a bit!
@Natasha...We are called Mona's Mob and we have (i think) 280 something finds. We have an Oregon 300 gps which is pretty good. Ive found the same as you - its takes you to places that you never even knew existed which are normally just right outside ur door!! @Janie All you need to do is register for free on the website. You then need to download them onto your gps and away you go! Once you have found it, you come back and log the cache on the caches page via the GC number....its pretty easy once you get into it! There are some that require you to send in answers or pictures in order to claim the cache.. @PinkPorridge...Its about damn time!!! Lol...yeh, let me know when ur free and we can go caching... |
