Default College Football is nearly upon us
My Fresno State Bulldogs have their first two-a-day practices starting next Tuesday and open the season at home against Cincinnati on Sept. 4. We would love to send Boise State packing off to the MWC next season by beating them at home and ending their BCS hopes. I think we may have a team this year that can finally win the WAC and make a run at the BCS for the first time since Boise ended our hopes in 2001 in the David Carr era or when Reggie Bush single-handedly took us down in the Colosseum in 2005. I think we would've been considered the top team in the WAC if not all of the mid-majors had Ryan Mathews stuck around for his senior season, but seeing where he got drafted and the deal he just signed, I sure can't blame him. After being snubbed by both the MWC and the Pac-10, I think we've got a pretty big chip on our shoulders this season, and a 7-game home schedule for the first time in I'm not sure how long, before 2002 at least. That should make up for our 7-game road schedule last season.

This whole season is going to be really interesting with it being the last season before all of the realignments happen next season with Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, and Boise all moving conferences, the Pac-10 becoming the Pac-12, the Big-12 only having 10 teams, and the Big-10 moving to 12. I think we're going to see a lot of shifting during the next off-season with a lot more teams switching conferences for the 2012 season.

This year I think I'm actually more excited about college football starting up than I am about the NFL season being right around the corner.

You'd run naked thru the streets with a blue vein erection if he were hired as your coach tomorrow.

Not a chance in hell. He's a slimy motherfucker... "I will not be the Alabama coach". Was like listening to Nixon claim he wasn't a crook or that Clinton didn't have sexual relations with that woman. Everyone knew he was lying, but he did it anyway.

Well ok here we go...(hope you checked your rep btw...)

What else could he say at that point in time? Every coach does that. Franchione denied taking the Texas A&M job then ditched Bama. Tuberville said he'd only leave Ole Miss in a pine box then one day later he accepts the Auburn job. I could go on. Why is Saban different?

Because he lied to me as a Dolphins fan... he came over, pissed away two drafts other than getting Ronnie Brown, which was a no-brainer. He left us in far worse shape than we were before he came on board. At least we got Parcells to take over the team after our disastrous 2007 season, which also led to us getting Jake Long. So thanks for the Tuna and Jake Long, Saban. Other than that, he can go die in a fire

Oh, and I also hate him for poaching Jim McElwain from my Bulldogs.... yet another coordinator that we couldn't afford to keep because a big BCS school came along and made a huge offer. I can only dream of what he would've been able to do with Ryan Mathews last season.

You have the right to hate whoever you like.....I don't need to approve.

Some coaches (like Spurrier and Saban) just belong in college and shouldn't try the NFL.

Well at least as a Dolphins fan you have a reason to be mad at him. A lot of people talk shit about him when they have no reason to.

I actually liked Saban when he came to the Dolphins... fresh off a National Championship, said all the right things. Then he fucked us all over.
