He's a dirtbag for taking an hour-long, primetime, nationwide special to throw it in Clevelands face. And ESPN is fucked up for enabling his BS. I'm so sick of hearing about this, I'm glad its over.

Now that you have that off your chest why don't you tell us how you really feel.

James thinks he needs to win. Funny, its not about his money....he could have convinced Wade and the whole league to come to Cleveland. it seemed he wanted to go anywhere but Cleveland. good luck and good riddance Mr. James. you will be under such a huge microscope by the league because you will be playing in a market that really doesn't give a f--k about its team. if you had gone to New York, Chicago or even LA the scrutiny you would have been under would have been huge, but you went to a soft market.....WEAK!

Now if he doesn't get a ring, he has absolutely no excuse.

he could still not get one and then have to go to LA or somewhere to "win" one as a bench player...there was a reason why the big dogs (LA,NY,Boston) chose not to try and get him....now he is trying to sell himself as a team player....

His ego's so big he has to refer to it in third person. "I just feel I have to do what's right for ... Lebron James."

Wade Boggs was the same way. I liked him as a player until I heard him say that. no wonder the Sox didn't win the 1986 World Series....what an a$$hole

The guy makes me wanna puke

What a friggin ego

He chose a weak market as stated so the media scrutiny won't be as great

He left Cleveland because he did not want the pressure of it being on him. Same reason he did not go to the big markets

Now if he wins in Miami it will be because of the three headed monster. He just assured his legacy will be down a notch from what it could have been

I hope Miami gets bounced in the first round next year

would be great if Cleveland had Miami in the first round....oh that would be fun if he had the shot to win/lose the series....and he choked...it would be epic

He is a team player. As long as that team has Dwayne Wade and and Chris Bosh to pick up the slack for him.

This is priceless

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and
Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown
Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN
NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER 'KING' WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue ...

Dan Gilbert
Majority Owner
Cleveland Cavaliers

PS Lebron you left your mirror in the locker room, we will be needing you to get rid of it or we could send it COD to you in Florida

The hour-long press conference was over the top, yes.

But Gilbert's letter sounds like something you'd see a 12-year-old write on a message board. TOTALLY off the rails. If the owner is that freaking nuts I can't say as I blame James for getting the hell out.

If it comes to do Lakers vs. Heat next year, it'd be the first time I ever root for the Lakers. I'd love to see Heat vs. Spurs though and have Duncan make LeBron look like a child again.
