We beat Valencia 2-0 earlier. Not a bad game, Owen missed a couple of good chances but did well to find the space. Valencia played very well and crossed well for Rooney's goal. First half was even I think, certainly they had a chace or two and should have scored from one, as should we. Clever performance in the second half, Berbatov came on as sub and he provided some clever little flicks and tricks, and the second goal was pretty clever as well.

Would you consider 'Green Street Hooligans' a good movie?
I loved it.

He moved to the states along with his brother Colin. Along with Andy Chapman they established a local soccer club. Birmingham United. Both my daughters played for them and were coached by Ian.

Sorry, there is no way on earth that you would ever get a yank Hobbit running the I.C.F. (It's not the GSE as the film depicts) Don't worry, Green Street 2 is out on DVD now and is probably the worst film I've ever seen. The first one was a pile of shit but deserves 10 Oscars compared to the second offering.

Try "Cass". It's the true story of Cass Pennant the former leader of the I.C.F. Pretty good apart from the bird who plays his missus being a shit actress.

Default Manchester United season tracking
Being a highly respected journalist as I am i'd though I would start this thread just to hone my craft. What it will be is just a basic summary of games from Manchester United this season. Also any other news and tidbits.

Anyway we just kicked off pre season with a 3-2 victory over a Malaysian all star 11. Rooney and Nani scored the 2 goals before they got back into it. Ben Foster dropped a clanger for their second. And just when it was heading for a 2-2 draw Michael Owen scored the winner. Well taken it was too, albeit a tap in.

Good start then, the pitch wasn't in the best condition really so we did well to combat that.

Next game on Monday I think, we were trying to organise a replacement match (we can't go to Jakarta anymore).

2-0 in the second game, we played the same opposition as Saturday as going to Jakarta was out of the question. Fairly routine stuff this time round, Frederico Macheda and Michael Owen with the goals, certainly pleasing to see the strikers scoring.

Just beat FC Seoul 3-2, pretty fine game to watch actually, we went behind twice, equalised first though Rooney, then the 2nd and 3rd goalls scored by Frederico Macheda and Dimitar Berbatov. Berbatov watched Gibson cross, lit a cigar and headed it in. Not really but it is like that with him, he's so cool.

Hangzou Greentown 2-8 Manchester United. Really fun game to watch, plenty of chances. Goals came from Owen (2), Berbatov, Tosic, Nani and Giggs (3).

Berbatov was on fire, setting the goals up and flicking the ball around like nobody's business.

Nice way to round off the Asia Tour, now for the Audi Cup in Munich. We'll have to step it up a gear or two as the opposition is of a higher standard.

Last night we beat Boca Juniors 2-1 in the semi finals of the Audi Cup. Anderson finally scored for us (pretty special free kick it was too) and Valencia with his first goal for us. Not that great a performance in the second half as we allowed them back into it, but a pleasing win none the less.

Onto the final tonight, and we'll play Bayern Muncih, who hammered AC Milan 4-1 in their semi final.

Just lost to Bayern Munich on penalies after a 0-0 draw in the Audi Cup finals. Not too distraught really, we played better as the match went on, but the match wasn't that good really.

Manchester United 1-0 Birmingham in the opening league game.

Not a great game to watch, we deserved to win, but I got the feeling we lacked urgency today, almost like we never wanted to get another goal. Rooney's goal was important for him as it's really on his shoulders this season to get more goals not Ronaldo's gone. Berbatov played alright, should have had a penalty when Steven Carr stood on his foot but worked well. Owen should have scored in the final minute.

Not convincing, but we rarely are.

1-0 defeat at Burnley tonight. Can't really complain, we were piss poor. Couldn't string two passes together, a blind gunman is more accurate at shooting than us tonight. They wanted it too, credit to them.

Ah well, pick ourselves up now. We have to.
