Baseball is cool and part of culture

Cricket is only ever exciting when the Ashes are at stake

Default Congrats Chula Vista CA!! Little Leage World Series Champs!
They beat Taiwan today for the title!

Chula Vista is in San Diego county and therefore, my old stomping grounds! I'm thrilled for them. One of the kids lives in the same house Adrian Gonzalez (Padre) lived in as a child. He called them a couple weeks ago, from the road, to wish them well.

Way to go kiddos!

Congratulations to them!!! Can't say I'm real happy about it, though, since that means our team had to lose...LOL!!! Our girls DID bring home the title this year, though...and the boys brought it home in 2007. So congrats to Chula Vista!!!

You are referring to the orgins of baseball as being cricket? Or rounders? I've always considered it an American sport since we established it as a professional sport. Today, it's much more international, but essentially, isn't it the "American" past time?

Thanks Natasha!

Yeah, that does make it a little less fun, I understand. Congrats to the girls!! WOOHOO!! Great job.

Is it your local team that won in 2007?

That's a very interesting topic. But this field is still new to me. It will be grateful if you give me some

more information about it. Thanks in advance.
