A lot of weird things have been happening leading to this WC. That is why I have been waiting to submit my predictions. Every time I think I know what who to pick I see something else about a player or a match on the news.

I'm definitely waiting until June 10 in case Ronaldo is unable to play due to an STD-related groin injury.

Default 2010 FIFA World Cup
This is so good and elaborate, I had to give it its own thread.

Don't miss Federer playing ping pong with Wayne Rooney

Nike Football

Of course, Ronaldinho didn't make the Brazilian team, so that was a fail

The whole campaign is pretty brilliant. Here's a separate Wayne Rooney trailer park spot

I wasn't sure where to put this. Three of soccer's all time greats posed for Louis Vuitton. It seems that Maradona arrived hours after Zidane and Pele had left but lo and behold Annie Leibovitz knows how to use Photoshop.

The folks at Louis Vuitton also designed a special case for the World Cup trophy.

Oh, Maradona

I've renamed the thread so we can discuss the WC here

Also, if you haven't yet, you can enter TAT's World Cup contest (entry is open for 1 more day) HERE

First I thought, "Who'd wear a suit to play ping pong? Federer." And I think he only has two suits , and that's one of them. So, I wound back and paused it to make sure.

ESPN is doing a pretty nice job with the coverage, with previews and the opening concert today (at 2 pm EST) and showing all the games. And looks like Chris Fowler is one of people leading the coverage.
