Default Which is your favorite Winter Olympic sport?
So which is your favorite (if any)?

I am torn between alpine skiing, biathlon and ice hockey. Voted for the first one...

It's probably obvious to anyone reading the Olympic threads, but, yeah,

I really like the cross country skiing. I was enthralled by them men's Individual Sprint Classic. It was the best moment of the games so far for me. The speed skating is fun, long track is sorta boring, but short track is just crazy

I am the one vote for biathlon. It is probably my second favorite sport after tennis, even edging out soccer. But I really like all of them, except maybe the snowboard competitions. Alpine skiing, speed skating, figure skating and cross country skiing are favorites as well.

Speed skating has always been a big thing in the Netherlands and I'm one of many who tends to watch a lot of it year in year out. At the same time, when it comes to the Olympics, I'm mesmerized by curling Mrs. Koffie hates it with a passion, but I just can't get enough of the stones and brooms and the tension this kind of big stage brings to the sport. Maybe if it were on television more often between Olympics I would grow tired of it, but for now, again, I'm hooked!

I voted for ski jumping , mainly because biathlon was already taken, otherwise it would be hard to choose.

Ski jumping is mesmerizing! It's spectacular and relaxing at the same time, wonderful to watch after a long day at work when the kids are in bed at last. And fond memories of following Funaki's feats half the night during the Nagano games.

As for biathlon, it is so well suited for watching on television, lots of suspense, always something going on!

Figure skating easily. It's actually my first favorite sport, I've been a fan of it longer than I have been of tennis.

I voted alpine skiing, but my favorite event so far was yesterday's 30k cross country race (also known as the Tour de Vancouver) - I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!
