Must be the same people who said that about on-court coaching.
Indeed, changovers have never been more riveting. Now the women are faced with a very difficult choice. Do they:

1) Get coaching
2) Take a bathroom break
3) Call the trainer?

Riveting stuff!

MLB has become a joke. Give me a real sport! Like ice-dancing.
What I don't get is why more people like it than Tennis. Of course, this probably isn't the best place to look for an unbiased answer to that question.

Its still above NBA. Then again, thats more of a show than a sport right?

The general consensus among viewers was that more baseball players should use steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs because it will make the game more exciting and help players perform better.
Ahhhh! I want those people's phone numbers. I'd like to yell at them.

Saw the title and initially thought Andy Roddick? Really?

I guess that's what happens when you are totally ignorant to a sport such as baseball.. even living in US.
Me too, I thought maybe the Men's Health cover was real afterall

I'm just so ticked, because my poor Rangers are stuck in the middle of it. They can never catch a break. He admits he did steroids. When? Only the three years he was with us. Don't want to tarnish his current team, but the Rangers are fair game. After all, they aren't important. They are nothing. I never forgave him for his comments on the way out the door when he said he never would have come to the Rangers if he knew it was going to be him and 24 kids. Same thing here. We are the doormat. We can be sacrificed.

If it is any consolation, I've always liked Texas more than I've liked A-Rod.

Wait a second.
Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens, two guys that 5 years ago were for-sure hall of famers, are facing possible jail time because of perjury when they denied they had done steroids. So Rodriguez gets caught in this SI inquiry, and what do you expect him to do? Risk JAIL TIME also?
He is not confessing because he felt guilty about it. With a contract worth over one quarter of a billion dollars, the last thing he would want to see would be to jeopardize that money, as he probably will now lose some of his endorsements.
This man could not care less about "right or wrong", or about "confessing" to his past. Remember, he can not be prosecuted on charges of using steroids, because that was the deal cut (by the players' union) in 2003. But Scott Boras is not so stupid not to call Alex and tell him "Come out, tell you did it, but do not deny it because then you face going down Roger's and Barry's way".
Bravo for Alex Rodriguez? C'mon, this guy is simply playing the logical card, but that does not mean he is any better today than yesterday.
Or for that matter, any worse.

Tejada Charged With Lying to Investigators
By Del Quentin Wilber and Dave Sheinin
Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, February 10, 2009; 12:32 PM

Former Baltimore Orioles shortstop Miguel Tejada was charged today with lying to Congressional investigators about the use of performance-enhancing drugs in baseball.

Federal prosecutors accused Tejada of making misrepresentations to Congressional staffers during an interview in a Baltimore hotel room focusing on the prevalence of steroids in the game.

The charge came in "a criminal information," a document that can only be filed with the defendant's consent and usually signals a plea deal is near. Tejada, who now plays for the Houston Astros, is scheduled to appear at 11 a.m. tomorrow in U.S. District Court in Washington, court officials said.

Prosecutors did not charge Tejada with lying about allegations concerning his own steroids use.

Instead, they accuse Tejada of giving false statements to Congressional staffers about his conversations with another player about steroids and human growth hormone.

That player, who was not named in court papers, is identifiable as Adam Piatt. They played together on the Oakland Athletics in 2003, and prosecutors allege that Tejada purchased human growth hormone from him that year. They do not accuse Tejada of using the substance or lying about his use of it, however.
